Its been proven already. The only reason they're working this forum is because it gives them some kind of financial benefit. If they truly cared about the forum and the people, they'd make a better effort to become apart of the community and the members. And i'm sorry, creating a spam topic and flaunting what you claim to be pictures of yourself isn't really going to accomplish that.

And Miros, i'm kinda disappointed. You actually went on IM to try and bring your concerns to Reeve because he wouldn't do anything in the mod forum, and the response you got was a "Well does it really matter"? Yeah, our admin sure cares.


I think Zyndara's last response pretty much summed everything up. Its just too bad people can easily change their views about a person with a little sucking up.

I have to agree, I'm sure most people of QCDN want an Admin who at least plays FFXI, and cares enough to take care of it. But I don't know anyone who will step up and do this, or if Reeve and Nox will let them be admin. That's all I want really..but I don't think it will happen.

Trust me when I say the same mistakes will not be made in the future. As for myself, I am still getting used to the forums and this was a shocking realization of how things work here.
 
Saying they are bad admins because they are neglectful is one thing, but saying they are bad because they don't play FF is stupid. How can you say that is bad when a good chunk of the users don't play anymore either.

Well I think what we should really learn from this whole experience is that the admin will listen when lots of us start bugging them. =p I've given up on Reeve, and I'm pretty sure he hates me now anyways, but we can still count on the current mods to do well. And with that, we can also do our best to bring over some other features from SO to make our forum even better!
 
Fuck this shit. Get rid of Reeve and Nox. We can keep Nox's g/f and make Cmdr admin.

I said it best on there. There flames sucks there 18+ sucks that site in general sucks balls.

I don't. I think board pulgins are crap. Like who gives a shit about longevity and activity? I like the old Main and Sub spots. It's like "Wow today i posted 4 times, if i post once more my today bar will go up 1!!!!" Personally I think rep is gay too but thats just me. I like a plain simple forum to post shit on everything else is ridiculous imo. (attachment mod not included)

Also @ everyone who says you don't like the idea because people are afraid of change is a bull shit argument. Why change something that is good? Change doesn't = good and why fuck something up thats working well. I do like the new forum layout, but at the same time i liked the old one and dont like the new plugins. Also something needs to be fixed about the board stretching. It looks like crap when a pic is posted or something and the text just goes off the board.
 
There are screen to show that you brought up QCDN Nox and that you Reeve knew about it, and proceeded to do nothing about it because it was promoting more use of SO. Them knowing that our site now exists don't you think they're going to figure out it's .org at some point and now start trolling over here? We don't want them over here, and hell we don't even want that SO ad on this site because it has nothing to do with FFXI or our server. I had fun posting over there, but nothing good to cause chaos because the general population of that forum is little kids who can't even flame or have a discussion worth derailing.

It's bull shit that there would ever be a thought of linking the sites if it were to happen because we would all leave and find another website with a forum for us. Hell KI has server forums, is it as elaborate at this? No. The reason why we have all of our sub-forums is because we discuss things as a community and it should stay that way because we actually make friends here instead of PC+20k.

You said it in the mod forums that we have a higher bandwidth and use that bandwidth because we get more traffic well gee I wonder why. FFXI isn't 10 years old and isn't a game that everyone has beaten or come close to completing. Hell I wouldn't expect a forum about a 10 year old game to be around and be active as is.

If you do change the forums the shout box is about the only plausible idea, but I doubt that would even be very active. It's a chat room essentially for those of you who don't know, and it really ever has anything of importance in it. That would go for the same here because we already discuss irrelevant things here.
 
As I read through those screenshots in the OP, not once did I think that we were being shafted, stolen, lied to, whatever else is being claimed here. Maybe I missed something.

This may be something a lot of people here would call foolish, but I have faith in both Reeve and Nox. Any critical changes would be forewarned to us either through the mods or publicly. Just because they don't know any of us doesn't mean they have zero respect for us and would sell our QCDN souls to their brother sites.

This is the Internet, not a marriage. You can visit more than one forum without getting castrated and losing your house, car, and half of your dog.

To everyone who's saying I should admin, thank you for the vote of confidence - but I'm a network guy not a web guy. I don't know anything about vBulletin from a technical standpoint so if shit hit the fan, I'd be picking my butt a whole lot.

Surely missed some replies, lost my first post of this to the old PICNIC error.

edit: sounds like most of the meat is on the mod forum over there? Havent visited SO yet.

You find it shocking that people don't like being manipulated, regardless of who's pulling the stings and what their intentions are? Well, consider yourself informed. Would think something like that was common sense, but it appears that the internet is license to lie and use people and say "lolz it's just the internetz." Spare me.

*EDIT: Bottom line is, if you had just been straight with people, this thread wouldn't even be here. I don't think asking for the people in charge to not jerk us around is too much to ask for.

Am I the only one who fails to see the manipulation going on here? Did people really take Nox's topic seriously? I mean, really? It doesn't even make sense and was incredibly vague (come to this forum and post stuff, basically). It's not like he offered you a handjob or something to go join his secret forum or anything, lol. It's more like "Punk'd" than anything. He lures you over there to "cause havoc" but tells the people in advance so they play along. Where's the conspiracy?
