When you flame someone, they most often will be in another ls. I haven't seen people ever come and flame there own ls members. :roll:

Oh and add Shiutou to the list. And prop and kireek but kireek already admitted to that ^^
 
It's quests like this that really shows how people really are and how people really feel about other players. People who think that they are better than everyone else and don't have to wait in line really piss me off. Sure it's just a stupid quest for just a stupid npc character, but it's a matter of principle. It just blows me away that someone can look at a line of a hundred people, and think that they don't have to wait like everyone else. How can they live with themselves? I know I'd be sick to my stomach to know that I screwed over a hundred people. But then again I care about others' feelings.

People say, "it's just a video game" but it's not a 1 player video game. Sure if this line was in a regular FF game, I'd skip too. But in this game there were real people with real feelings waiting in a real line.

I also am very proud of the hundreds of people that actually patiently waited their turn. I'm glad that there are more honorable people on our server than dishonorable ones. The first time I saw the line in the Eldiemie Necropolis, I thought, "wow people are actually being cool and lining up". I've never seen so many people in this game actually being organized and orderly before.
 
I didn't see anyone cut in either line while I was waiting, luckily enough.

/salute to most of the players who patiently waited their turn. The people who went right to the front are the ones who obviously have no common courtesy or respect for their fellow players, and they really don't deserve any in return.
 
You knew people would be assholes about it. The fact that they have to wait, come back, or they could be doing something else with that time, and that they can't follow an organized line just shows their true colors.

Their world crumbles when they can't have their way. I'm glad the cures were preventing them from sidestepping what was clearly the "fair' way to handle this.

These lines were horrible. nearly 2 hour wait for me... I was maybe 10 people ahead of Zoolander when the crap hit the fan with the "Manthra". Yeah
I said it, i sparked a light joke at the fact that i was a manthra. I show no shame in playing it. You all are just jealous of my l33t evasion bonus and pissed you play a hume to feel "normal" or "Male". Wildkitty was wearing some wedding gear and stated she hated being called that. But my original comment was not even directed at her, it was directed at me. Everything Zoo states is true she was pissy, rude, skipping line b4 the comment was ever made and insisted on skipping when she didnt have time. Her worthless friend (which when i remember the name ill insert here) told her not to move from the front of the line till i said sorry. YOUR BOTH CHILDREN!!!
I bit the bullet and apologized just because so many were pisseed at her standing at the front of the line. She moved the instant i said sorry. But she didnt get in while i was there, and thats all that matters to me.

Well - I don't see why everyone wanted to get this today... It would be just like the update >< congested.

But it doesn't surprise me that Prophecy or Jinshorty were assholes - or wildkitty for that matter.
 
I love how people are like.. "Oh there's no rules against cutting in.." Well, there's no rule against cutting in front of that person in the grocery store is there? Where is it written that you have to actually wait behind someone in a grocery line? In their rules and regulations when you enter?

People act all retarded because they CAN in a game. Just because they're too impatient to be civilized like EVERYONE else and wait. OMG, a sign that everyone is getting along and a great sight to see...well, I'll show them that there's still rude people in the world.

And what's the big deal with waiting? Some of these people that are being accused of cutting in are part of HNM Linkshells... don't those things pop every like..day? If you're willing to wait 2-3 hours to do that, I don't see the big problem here.

But wait.. probably the same line of thinking.... If I can beat that next person to get into the bcnm, I deserve it....
 
Personally i'd like to echo palum's thoughts on that and would also like to thank everyone who waited in line, shared information, helped fellow adventurers, and generally made the experience of playing "lets wait in line" for like 8 or more hours an overall enjoyable one. Haven't seen cooperation like that since the twinkling treant event, good on you all you restored my faith that there's not just selfish ass-hats walking around the server. For that alone i thank you all whole-heartedly, i feel better about logging in these days :)
 
I was telling a buddy of mine that plays WoW about this, and he himself said that it was stupid to wait in line that long. Just goes to show that FFXI generally has a better class of gamer than WoW, and probably most other online games.

I helped run a b.net clan for two years, and frankly I got sick and tired of the idiocy that ran rampant through the server.

Events like this is what keeps me forking over the money to keep gaming with you guys.

Luckly I was the last one to do the Quest AND why is Wolfskymoon flamming ppl, the bastard skiped the line also he jumped infront of me and said he spammed the door by accident and Thx to him my GF couldnt even finish the quest he has reached #1 on y most disliked list i think i like colbwa better that him now
 
out of all the things i could imagion in a game i would have to say people standing in a line to fight a ??? spawn then go and stand in a even longer line to fight a bc fight never cross my mind :lol:

Because we kept curing him so he couldn't get in...someone beat him to it and apparently the GM said to keep curing his ass. It was pretty funny!
 
:lol: It's funny to see the lack of patience on this. I mean seriously, yeah it's impolite and assholish to cut in front of ppl who have been waiting in-line for hours on end, but the ??? and the BCNM will still be there tomorrow, the day after, and so on and so on.

So save yourself the headache of standing in line for hours on end and of having dick-heads cut infront of you to get a NPC that can't zone with you, and once it leaves you have to wait 20 hours to call it again, and just wait a couple of weeks or so for this crap to die down where you don't have to wait hours just to get this. It's not like it's gonna disappear forever.

and if you're gonna compare this to HNM camping....camping something that'll reward you with an NPC that'll fight with you, but when the NPC leaves because you K'Od, stayed idle for too long, or accidently zoned and you have to wait 20 hours for it to come back is BS and hardly worth the headache of waiting for.

I mean all those hours waiting in line could've been put to good use, like farming, crafting, or w/e, but noooo...ppl rather stand in line for hours just to get a chance to get an NPC that will fight with you, but when it leaves you have to wait 20 hours to call it again.

What Kasuke said, it will always be there tommorw and the day after, and if you see people cutting, why dont u just cut them back... dont be a bitch about it take action.
