Problem is everyone who disagrees with Obama gets attacked. Many have tried to give better suggestions. They <wholefoods organic food> got boycotted by the dems. Another group <medicare b provider>was slapped with a court order to shut up when they told the people they service what the Health plans would do to them. What they said to their people was what the governement said would happen. Hell they tried to Ban Fox news from press confences over the "opinion" shows. Mind you CNN's called everyone who disagrees with Obama racists who will riot and burn the streets.
There have been many alternatives offered up, and everyone is told to shut up and let the real people do their job. How on earth can anyone help when so many extreme steps are being taken to keep them from speaking. Recently the Dems walked out the back door to avoid a vote in regards to sweetdeals that had occured under the housing in which 2 high profile dems got "benefits". They do not want our help. It is their way or go die in a corner. You might think I am joking, but if you bother to actually look at what they are doing and it's impact, you would understand.
lol on it takes time to withdraw troops. Of course the Iraqi ones were set to be withdrawn by BUSH. The process was started before Obama came into office. Obama's hand picked military council all tell him what is needed, and he won't listen to them nor nato. We could pull out troops in droves with in 72 hours. We could have most out in a very fast time. Many places would be blown up so the equipment would be unusable by the enemy. FYI we could drop off battalions of troops in under 48 hours if needed. Reason stands we could recall the same amount in the same time period.
I bet you never asked why we still use oil. Simply put, it is because if we went fully green the entire middle east would meltdown. Their biggest money maker is oil. We could if we tried swap within 5-10 years off massive oil dependency. Honestly we should. It will cost hundreds of millions of jobs world wide, but who cares...it does not effect you personally. Well actually it does. Price of things would sky rocket until everyone was swapped over. Probably for 10-20 years after things would be pricey. Someone has to pay for the technology. Still we would have no need for "foreign" oil. Funny is a lot of currency value is based on oil. So you'd crash the money market. Who cares....it is not like it would effect you personally.
The cost to do this would be staggering. Small steps would lessen the impact. Want an example? Al Gore brokered sweet deals for corn to ethonal. Dirty way to make the stuff mind you, but his massive push resulted in people starving to death and rioting in central America. All the corn was being turned into ethnol because they could get more money than selling it for food. I watched on CNN people making breads with a mud mix just to eat something.
Still we could move within 5 years most states to nuclear power plants. Much cleaner than coal. Banning plastic bags would be smart also. Oil is used in making many plastic products. Many nations ban those bags because of the animal deaths.
You want to say that spending more money than every president combined in just the first year is how you fix something?! Sorry if you have no money and owe money, you don't fix it by spending more. You have to cut things and budget, if you don't you wind up in bankrupcy. What do you think would happen if the US went bankrupt? WW2 history, look up what happened in germany.
Most of the job growth has come from the government. Union people get paid more money than a job is really worth in many cases. In NY there are stage hands getting paid $500,000 a year. Others get paid $20+ an hour to poke one button all day. How many MORE people could be hired if companies did not have to pay outragous union prices. A non union memeber might be paid $16 for that same $20 union job. Unions require people get paid based on senority, not merits. So a lazy ass can get raises just because he showed up to work. Ever see a company try to get out of a union contract? It is not very pretty.
So far the only thing i agree with is cutting the CEO pay if they took tax payer money. Honestly they should not be getting any raises for bonuses when you look at what has happened. This so far to date is the only logical and common sense thing I have seen. I'd be more impressed if they cut the spending and cut unneeded government jobs like Obama promised back in Jan. Since most of the Job groth was in teh government...I do not think he has kept his promise.
Us Nay sayers might have more faith in the man if he actually took the job serious. Do not think for a minute he has anyone but his own special intrests in mind in what he does. He is a great speaker, but history has many such people, and in many cases the results were bad. When he starts to be responsible, people will respect him. So far he has done nothing to earn it.
