Do you notice that on almost every FFXI board, ranger mouth-running has increased a solid 450% since the announcement that a fix is coming their way? I mean criminey. They didn't even wait to get their balls back. Now they're like...pre-emptively epeening, letting it be known once again that they're the job that they can hit for whomg 350 a hit and do 2100 damage weaponskills on lolIT++. Nevermind that before the announcement they were content to sit in their rightful timeout corners with dunce caps on, accepting their fate as mortals. 10% sucked it up, 90 percent shut up, but after the announcement, seems like the quitters are back to their old selves. Didn't have the testosterone to play ranger during the nerf and brag about it, but boy do they have mouths left to run now that someone gave them an inch.

Do old dogs never really learn new tricks? That's pretty darn sad if not. They're already showing all the signs, and all it took was one simple announcement. Why, just the other day I saw my first pre-post-nerf post by a ranger laughing that meleeing is amusing to them. The ranger phenom is already back, and the worst part is that all it took was a WORD for them to blow that ego right back up where some left off.

Short flame synopsis: Kiddo Rangers who couldn't distinguish themselves any other way than to abuse ranger in the past have started crowing on the boards again, for no other reason that Square has given the cowards a little shot of bravery in the form of a simple announcement.

We are getting unerfed? I thought it was just that sharpshot crap.

Peregrine I dont care what job thinks who is bragging where. You have some of the shittiest thief armor ive ever seen. You should try camping some NM's or something and get some real gear. You of all people have no right to even open your mouth.

And in other news: Peregrine is a retard.
Seriously, why do you keep coming back here when all it acomplishes is getting your ass dragged over the coals a few more times.

lol...I see the lesser fanboys are buzzing in early on this one.

just passing the time untill somthing better comes along. Like say, anything.

are these rangers kind of like you thinking they are better than everyone when they aren't?

See now that's funny because the single driving thought that ran through your mind while typing that useless "witty" retort:
I'm better than Peregrine.

And hes right. He is better than you. So is 98% of the rest of this board.

My level 51 Thief has better gear than your current endgame thief does.

>.>; I'm a post update ranger, so I really dont know what it was like pre update. In anycase it was so we dont miss as much, no? I dont think we still get pre-update dmg back. :/

Better how? As you make sandwiches at Subway and struggle with algebra? Online, where that gimp set you see me in is my evasion set, one of many, and that single set sells for over 20 million gil alone not counting rare/ex pieces?

Where, exactly, oh one-lining failure of a fool, are you better than me? You're not better than me on the flameboard. You're not better than me online. You're not better than me in real life. So spare me your lack of contribution to anything worthwhile. You belong on one of my leashes. That's all you're good for.

Pre-update, ranged attacks did nearly the same damage no matter how high the mob checked. So whereas meleers would hit IT low for 30 but IT++ for 15, rangers would hit for 80 regardless of check. They could also stand near the mob and do the same hit, and slightly boost their tp gain versus arrows alone. Their accuracy was also, although arguably, too high, cheap, and effective.

Boy did i miss out~ In anycase, could you name some Rangers who are "running their mouths"? There is also a possibily these "Rangers" are just players who'd run their mouths anyway.

This is one of the few references that doesn't really apply to this board. As elitist as this board can be, obsessing over +1's and whatnot, it is not so nearly as affected by caste-systematization that plagues other boards. So name dropping wouldn't do so much good here.

Just wondering, what boards are you referring to, pere?

i could make the same argument about thiefs now. Heres my new topic:

Observation on: Thieves (btw, dont knock other's intelligence if you can't spell)

Everywhere on this board are arrogant shitty thieves. Theres no point in naming names since name dropping wouldn't do much good here.

Most have been stray remarks from alla while reading for entertainment. GameFAQs general forum is starting to grow ranger balls again. KI isn't as bad, but it's there. Have seen maybe one weak comment on QCDN.

you seriously telling me you read EVERY board on the internet??? you really DO have no fucking life.

Anyway, you travel across the boards and find a few sparse comments, and think it merits a FB thread??!! you got to be shittin me.

No, it wouldn't do much good because you wouldn't know the names. Idiot.

lol, those posts were from allakhazam. You yourself discount that board as does any other self respecting player. Its use is to the extent of when other site's info fails that a player trudges to the depths of alla to discern any remote meaning of a quest.
