Ocarina of Time remake

Psh, give me some Oracle of Ages/Oracle of Seasons, however Link to the Past is my favorite 2D Zelda.

Oracle of Ages was freaking awesome :D

Link to the past is my favourite game of all time, very serious. I would not mind a remake in 3d at all.

I would love a remake :)

I don't want a remake of Link to the Past, it was perfect the way it was/is.

Ocarina of Time was in many ways a retelling of LttP. >_>

To be honest, ALL The Zelda games follow the same basic format and main characters and storyline. But I still liked Link To The Past :) it was far more fun imo with awesome puzzles, awesome two worlds, awesome battles, awesome awesomeness

No, they share common themes and characters. Not storylines or format. Arguably each generation shared a common format.

Oh come now, each and everyone starts off with a boy that turns out to find a sword and has to go from temple to temple to get new items until he can fight Ganon. All of them have the same basic format :| there's virtually nothing different between them, at the very least for console versions. That doesn't mean they aren't fun, mind you. That doesn't mean that they don't differ in details. But, there is a great similarity between most of the Zelda games.

There are ones that are quite different like Majora's Mask was pretty different (which made it so awesome to me), but Zelda, A Link To The Past, Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, etc all have a great deal in common when it comes to how the story progresses and what kinda things you do to progress. The items tend to be the same, the temples run similar themes to temples of other games, the boss fight of Ganon has pretty much always been the same pong-esque combat. It's not BAD, mind you, it helps solidify that "this is Zelda." :P

REALLY NOW?

A hero embarks on a quest, he must find new items, get stronger, and is often the sole person to make it to the end and must fight a final boss.

BOY THAT SURE SOUNDS FAMILIAR.

fucking dumbass.

Myrrh. Dragon Age, Oblivion, Fallout, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Bioshock, The Legend of Zelda, Pitfall, Super Mario Brothers, and Resident Evil are the same game.

There is no denying it.

How could I have been so fucking blind?

All the same game, I've been wasting my time.

God I really hate you people, play through Zelda games again, they have the SAME format, the SAME characters, THE SAME plot, A LOT is the same. Even my die hard Zelda fan friend agrees a lot of it is the same, but that's not bad. Somethings are quite different, but the vast similarities combined with the new things they do add in the game are what make them fun and so popular. Nostalgia lasts cause they are so similar. Do fanboys really have that hard of a time realizing the truth of their beloved franchise? :\

But that's not what you said, you said there was virtually nothing different about them, when in actuality they have quite a few differences. From plots to power ups to puzzles.

I *wish* every game had the Biggoron's Sword.

LTTP owns all Zelda's 2d *and* 3d.

Also, Minish Cap was too short iirc, so Link's Awakening wins IMO. Wish I could find my Oracle of Ages. I had a lot of fun with that one too.
