With that install crap on the Ps3 does that mean I can just rent it and play it forever? That'd be awesome if it worked that way. Saves me like 60 bucks.

installing it on the PS3 makes it so you don't have to wait so long for it to install through load scenes and such on the system itself and helps gameplay or something to that effect :P And it really doesn't take long to install

I like the install feature, but making them force you to do it is pretty BS. I think it should be an option like in NGS but shouldnt be mandatory.

it was kinda long but so worth it, game is amazing

20 min isn't long. Anyone whining about a 20 min load time is just a fucking impatient brat.

Can you believe this shit?
But honestly, why the **** would you need to install anything? Its a ****ing console! Its not supposed to have any installation, plug-n-play!

**** that ****.
These stinking Capcom traitors need a smack in the face. I dont like THEIR SMUG ATTITUDE. the gameplay and animation SCREAM last gen. If I buy this CRAP game, it will be from gamespots USED BIN for which CRAPCOM GETS ZERO PROFIT ! They didn't benefit at all from they delay. They didn't implement the sixaxis motion controls in any significant way .ITs a crappy generic action game with NO replay encouraging modes, no multiplayer deathmatch or co-op. SCREW CRAPCOM! RESIDENT EVIL 4 evolved so much but dmc4 is the same orb harvesting crap .Kill a group of near inert enemies harvest orbs leave the room return to instantly respawned inert enemies. LAME. Thats NES game design. RYGAR on NES played the same way. THE GTA DELAY AND THIS CRAPPY PORT SUCKS! A TWENTY MINUTE INITIAL INSTALL MAKES THE PS3 version A FREAKING FAILURE! CRAPCOM, YOU SUCK MORE THAN TRAVELLERS TALES.
What I do for a living is none of your goddamn business.

As for installation, I've been a PC gamer since 7. The only time when I want my games to install, is when its a goddamn PC game. Cause I expect that. I didn't buy a fucking console to install games there TOO. If I want to play for 20 minutes, I dont want to wait those 20 minutes installing a game that I could be playing by now on 360. Get that concept into your head? I dont like waiting for my games. I hate installing games on PC too. Fuck, swapping bloody 5 discs in 2 DVD drives is a pain.

Point is - consoles - plug and play please and thank you. Capcom can shove their peanut butter jelly sandwich up their asses.
The above person must obviously be 8, considering he played PC games sicne the age of 7.

Seriously, how the fuck can people be so friggin' impatient today? Since when does 20 min equal the end of the world and a huge bump in their bussy everyday life? they're fucking nerds, they don't have social lives. What could POSSIBLY be more important? Their non-existing girlfriends? Does their fleshlight call out for them? And do they completely lack multitasking skills, thus preventing them from, say, jacking off while waiting for the installation, or hell, clean their rooms while waiting for it to install?

There's about 1000 things I can think of to do instead of sitting glued to the TV waiting for the installation to complete. Some of them longer then 20 min.

just picked this pice of awesomeness up today and i got the art book ;o

time to install this sucker and play
brb, going to the moon

the thing is uzor, console gamers get a new game and run home and expect to pop it right in and go, we dont want to sit there and wait through an install process.
Its no so much about how long it takes or the fact that its there at all, its the fact that its not what a console game should do.
If they add an install feature it should be optional like the resident evil outbreak games were on ps2.
as for the install cutting down on load times, it doesnt even make much of a difference compared to the 360 from the reports ive read, which was the same problem with the REO games, they didnt make a big difference.
i wouldnt say its whining at all, we as console gamers do not want to have to install a game and wait to play something, we want to just jump right in and go.
You may be of the small percentage that does not care, but the majority would if this became common in console gaming.

That's 20 minutes less time for them to furiously masturbate, after all.

Problematically, they're masturbating to Dante.

sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

if i had a vag i would furiously masturbate to dante...easily...for more the 20 minutes at a time...i dont mind saying that either

but yea on topic, the game is amazing, and whoever said the graphics scream last gen is a blithering idiot...i'm on mission 7 the jungle and its just gorgeous, nothing last gen about it

tbh, I find it rather pathetic. Sure, I'm excited about the game too. But whining and bitching and arguing for MORE then 20 min about the 20 min install time is beyond pathetic. There's nothing more to it. They've waited long for the game, waiting 20 min more won't kill them.

It's a legitimate complaint, just because you don't care about wasting your time installing the game doesn't mean that those who do are pathetic. They're also complaining because they have to install, while the 360 version plays instantly; it's created an inequality between the versions of the game, something that's perfectly valid to complain about.

It's 20 minutes...

It's not exactly the end of the world, it may not save you time overall in the long run, but even the people that hate it admit that it does load a bit faster than the 360 version.

You have to admit that some people's reaction is way more virulent than the issue warrants.

It's only different because all ps3s have harddrives, while some 360s don't.

Personally, I don't see what the big deal is. Put it in, go make dinner, and then play until your eyes hurt.

there are a million things a person could do with those twenty minutes besides log into a forum and complain about waiting 20 minutes.
