That post did 2 things btw:

1) fire was wrong about odon trying to flail fafnir (I believe odon was just trying to help, and not trying anything evil)

2) He did cure, and therefore did have hate, and therefore, eventually after we wiped, he and NH itself would be targets.

We never talked shit about our "theories" about odon trying to flail us, but you loved to talk all the time about how we mpk'd you.

Because you know when we're gonna wipe, the first thing on our minds is how to somehow take down NH with us. :roll: People started running once 80% of the allaince were dead, it's a natrual reaction, that's why it may have seemed we ran fafnir towards you, and odon cured us, giving him a spot on the hate list, which is why fafnir would like NH as a target. We never tried to mpk NH, nor had any intention of doing so. You brought it upon yourselves and tried to take blame onto us when all we did was get pwnt by an hnm that you guys had some hate on.

I remember some people from other ls's dying too, I never heard of any of them accusing us of mpk.

When you're supposedly 70+ and you're fighting an HNM dragon with a bunch of people at the other end of the room, the least you can do if you're gonna wipe is NOT to make it run towards everyone else. And I don't give a damn if it's towards NH (my LS) Kaizen BoL HNMPT or whatever LS. You got a freaking beast that can kill anyone in 2-3 shots...if you're gonna die, just freaking eat it without bringing it on everyone. Come on...it's pure logic.

And even if you run away...where are u gonna go??? The only exit is that drop by the tunnel, and by the time you sneak urself in there you'll be dead...

I hope this thread is gonna stop, it's freaking rediculous...I wasn't even there and just reading it pisses me off.

Vang, how bout you stop bashing on everyone as if you knew everything there is to know. "Yadda yadda yadda NH are a bunch of losers" "Yadda yadda yadda NH protects gilsellers" You've said it dozens of times and it's getting freaking old, find something new, or best, just stop it.

I'll just say in general I don't like the easy scapegoat method. While I couldn't care less if Speakerboxxx gets a bad rep or not, and no matter what happened NH was gonna wipe on Fafnir because they still had registered hate, from Odon and possibly from people previously fighting it if they never reset hate. I must say I find it mostly unlikely that Speakerboxx would be in the alliance in the first place. He plays a THF and until we're ready for killshot it's unlikely he'd have even been in the alliance. Of course thfs also tend to draw the least amount of hate and survive the longest so in the event he had been in alliance it'd have been possible he's the last alive. But I don't think he'd have been in the alliance. We weren't that close to kill shot.
I'll say simply, no talk about dragging Fafnir over to any other LS was said in LS or in alliance chat. If anyone had suggest it a lot of people would yell no to them. So there's no way for me to say I know 100% for sure it wasn't dragged towards NH as I was dead on the floor muttering something about hating Fafnir towards my wall.
I don't know what happened for sure. I know that I was expecting it to go after NH anyway. I was lying there on the ground, mostly thinking about the fight we just went through, and a little bit wondering the effects of sloppy hate throughout the room.
I can also say anyone who thinks they are "helping' by curing another LS during Fafnir while not at a designated spot to prevent spike flail has got some issues.

Fighting Fafnir looks something like this...

What you have to understand is that the room is very small and that Fafnir is very big.

Fafnir will spike flail if jerked around suddenly, killing everyone near him damn near instantly.

Now you have reserves, people who are standing out in the back. Perhaps people who have swapped in and out of the battle.

The first thing when you see a wipe you should expect is the tanks die and it immediately snaps right at the M section. At this poing Fafnir will back up slightly. If I recall, for us Fafnir was close towards the drop towards Zitah zone and perpendiculare with it, towards the center of the room. When he turns at the mages he then faces the drop, as you notice the mages are near his head, so the part of him that moves the most is his back, which points towards the first drop, from the tree. Which if I recall is where NH was. His long part therefore was extended in their direction.

Now when you have a panic situation, people react differently. Myself, when things are going bad, my tendancy is to just put up blink/stoneskin/phalanx and nuke as hard as a can to try to change the momentum. Some people try to sleep. Some people just stand there frozen, and some try to put some distance between themselves and the mob so that if there's a bounce back they'll be alive to be useful. As you can guess from my reaction, I was dead quite quick and didn't see the last few seconds, but I'll simply say I can imagine Fafnir took out front, turned right, swung around again and took out random OH people who weren't in alliance. Most of the people he killed I speculate were one shot kills, I certainly was. When a hypermode Fafnir is hitting Paladins for 800 I doubt any random survivors could just run him over like he's a crab. He was simply following a hate trail. As confirmed on this thread, malicious or not he had registered hate with Odon.

Weather Speaker was alive or not is not the point. He might have ran over to you, but he wouldn't have had hate since he was never in the alliance. And even IF he was (which he was not) he would have killed NH off because of Odon's hate.

See, now you're denying that you cure PRoph. Just admit it, you did. And if it went for one of your PLD's first it just might be because he cured you and he have higher enmity... And when I say other places it's other places in qcdn,in one of the many countless threads. As well as in-game.

When he (Fafnir) ran for you (NH), did you not (or someone from the LS) isntantly scream "OMG! They're fucking MPK'ing us!". And I highly doubt you said "No, it's because I cured them"

All I know is...

There are two ways people MPK at Fafnir. You train a bunch of spiders, the more direct and obvious method...

Or you turn Fafnir by creating hate. The only way to create hate on another person's claimed mob is to cure and then try and make self hate once you're registered on the monster.

I've seen it done plenty of times, a paladin walk behind another LS's Fafnir, Cure 4 their tanks, Cure 4 themself, jam all the JA and invincible... boom, Fafnir turns, Spike flail, everyone dead. It is for this reason that everyone in our LS, inside alliance or not, stands at designated areas to prevent spike flail.

If you just stand anywhere and throw cures at our paladins, the assumption is going to be it's a MPK attempt. If all you wanted to do was cure to help, then the thing to do is stand in the area where all our mages where and cure from there. If not you risk spile flail, and force us to turn on blockaid and leave your cures to massive misinterpretation.

Fire, I know what Faf's room looks like, you're the one who first showed it to me, and i went there way enough time with NH since I joined. My point was in reply to Davemann's post, about it being natural for people to run away.

When that stuff happens at Fenrir, unless you can teleport, warp, escape or whatever, you gotta be damn lucky to run away alive...So basically you have two choices, either you just eat it where you are and don't cause trouble to anyone else..you're gonna die anyways, or you just run like a chicken without a head and bring the mob on other people. I'm just saying people at such a level should be able to overcome that "Natural reaction" as Dave said.

Yes I know Odon had hate on Fafnir, you guys wrote like 5 pages for that, and even though i didn't read every post, I read enough to come to a conclusion that it was a fact. However my post doesn't concern this particular situation, i wasn't even there (stupid school). It's simply a reply on how people should be expected to react when that happens, or that is how i would've reacted.

Anyways, enough said on that subject.

btw, congrats to you guys on getting back together, i almost fell on my back when I heard you guys were dissolving. One thing though, maybe that would be an occasion to question yourselves on some of your members. I know it's not of my business, and don't take it into account if you don't want to, but I know a lot of people in OH, and while some of them are great players, some others are...... I'll keep this post polite, and make your LS (including those people who are great players) look bad.
