Curses! My plan for taking over qcdn one green dot at a time is foiled! <giggle>

Actually I was trying to see what would happen if I rated down the "popular" folks who are most favored by the mods. After recent experiences I realized that the rules were very unfairly enforced, some members are not held to the same standard as other members, particularly controversial members.

It started when I was rated down by someone who knew I had rated someone else down, if that makes sense. So I decided, since I had been rated down so much, that I was going to spread the love a little bit, with interesting results.

(It turns out a mod looked and saw who I had rated down, then rated me down for rating someone he liked down)

meeze and rappa ended up with two green dots out of the deal. <no applause, you two, I'm bashful>

Do you think if I complained because I was getting many anonymous karmabombs that the admin at qcdn would have made a major change?

I'm glad that the repping system shows who is rating what to whom now. Don't ever say I never made a useful contribution to qcdn. (EEK! a double negative!)

First of all it wasn't a secret and mysterious sockpuppet that you ardourously tracked down and discovered the source of, so don't make it sound like it was. I put Kinkkerbelle on the account as a reference when I registered the name and I had just logged in as Kinkkerbelle from the same computer. It wouldn't have taken a bunch of effort to "find" my nefarious alter ego, Sherlock. I intended for you guys to know it was me, probably pissing you off, but in the process, pointing out a huge flaw in the system.

No, Eleibfrid anonymously rated me down a few days ago, in response to me rating down someone else. I knew someone <probably a mod> could see who I rated down and was responding on someone else's behalf. I thought that sucked so I started rating down everyone who didn't like me much to spread some love and create a ruckus. It worked. :biggrin:

I know that I have no right to expect mods here to be fair, or consistent, or even honest. It's your playground, not mine. Everyone is passionately stating how little their reps mean while freaking out when they get repped down. They complained so loudly that a change was made and now a mod can't go around repping people down anonymously because they can see comments no one else can see. I think that this improves QDCN greatly.

You're wrong. I didn't rate you down because you rated someone else down - I don't care nor would have it mattered to me in the first place why you did. The reason I did rate you down was because you started to rate down everyone who you just "didn't like" or wasn't one of your friends. You went as far as to rate people down on completely irrelevant posts with remarks such as "I'm going to rate you down every day for the next 20 years", "whore", and "you can't fool me", and even then went as far as creating a sock puppet (Flamedancer) to continue to rate people down.

And what was your reason for doing it?

Of course we didn't do a thing to stop it - you brought it all on yourself. It's not our fault that people do not like you, nor is it our place to make them like you.

I rated you down because you truly have become nothing more than a selfish, whiny, self-centered, attention seeking (not giving, contrary to your belief), little girl who when she doesn't get what she wants, or doesn't get her way, throws a big hissyfit and even though she says she's going to let it go - she never does. And do you know why? Because somewhere in the back of her head she thinks she has everyone wrapped around her finger, and that she can still come out on top of this over anyone else.

Well, here's the scoop for ya little girl: things don't always go your way. And when they don't, it's best to just suck it up, and not bitch out at others because you didn't get what you wanted.

You just contradicted yourself.. did you or did you not rate me down for rating someone else down? You were using the power of your position as a mod to watch who I rated down, then responded on their behalf, anonymously. LMAO You say I'm wrong then go on and immediately said you did, in fact, rate me down for rating people down. The sock puppet was made long AFTER you rated me down anonymously, revealing yourself as a mod, accidentally I think.

Oh, the private messages I could quote if I had a mind to. It boggles the brain, the mayhem I could cause, LMAO. However I believe that a private message should not be made public, it's a betrayal of trust, and it would be at odds with my personal ethics. You are not worthy of the trust of getting a pm, and now I know more about the type of person you are. I do tend to be a bit gullible, believing a private message to a mod would stay private and not be posted on the flameboard. Even my harshest critic would not see mods posting pms on the flameboard as justifiable. You also removed relevant parts of what I said and took it out of completely out of context.

I rated you down because of your actions and because of who you have become. You can choose to believe that I was "watching" who you were rating down and why I did, but don't flatter yourself. We (the mods) have recieved numerous complaints about the mysterious rate downs, and after Neyla brought it to my attention that it was you, I took action. I told you why I rated you down, I don't need to convince you if you don't believe me. Believe what you want.

I'm not worthy of recieving a PM? If you want to put it like that, then you aren't worthy on being on QCDN at all. Having created another alias (without having your name in your signature no less, sockpuppet), using it to rate people down, and going back on your word of "letting it go", you are infact a liar.

Quote my PM's, the only ones I sent you were the ones regarding this whole matter. I posted them all in the mod forum, and everyone in there has a distaste for you already. I'll be happy to post our PM conversation on here, word for word for everyone to read. I'm a very trustworthy person, but once you betray my trust - don't expect to have mine again. I made that public because you betrayed the trust of everyone on QCDN, and I think everyone deserves to know why they were being rated down. Don't you agree?

Well yeah but you attacked them back just as much (the degree of success i won't comment on), so i fail to see why you should give multiple rate downs when they only game you one despite how strongly they may or may not feel about you and how much they may insult you.

Not to mention all the crap that has been flung could probably have been avoided had you just taken some critism, maybe apologised, perhaps offered some back instead of this flamewaring.
