I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned after browsing through the forum.

Anybody play Okami? I just finished it last week and it was quite possibly one of the most enjoyable games I'd ever played on PS2. The game is like a living, breathing, watercolor painting, steeped deep into Shintoism. It's a shame Clover Studio went under, because this gemstone is hard to find now. If you like Zelda-type adventure games, I'd suggest adding it to your collection.

i did and beat it .. too bad capcom drop this game tho >_>

Besides the too long tutorial and the waa-waa wuhh-waa wuhh-waa speech the game was one of the best ever. Clover was awesome to me. I still get a kick out of God Hand too.

Slowly progressing whenever I can pry myself away from FFXI. Its a very fun game, and I really like that the graphics are different from anything else i've ever seen. I like that the game is a lot like The Legend of Zelda, in the sense that you get to explore different areas and there seems to be a lot of little quests to do. I also think that the music in the game is great, it makes it a lot more enjoyable to play when you have something good to listen to.

Okami is great indeed. Always thought it would've fit better as a Wii game. Pretty much anything with a name is from Japanese legends. I absolutely love the art style, and how interactive a lot of the environment is. And it does feel a lot like Twilight Princess (or at least the wolf parts of it). I highly recommend it if you can find it.

I felt the same, even though the controls were find on PS2. I think that Clover was actually developing it for the Wii before they went bankrupt. I'd love to see it get re released on a next-gen system just because I think this game deserves to be seen in high-definition. It's so bright and vivid, so just imagine it in 720p or higher.

I own and completed Okami. Very unique game visually with a very good story on the side. Easily one of the most beautiful games ever made. This is one of very few games to have reviewers and critcs world wide deliver a standing ovation.

The developers at Clover came correct when they mentioned how video games are no longer about the art. It's more about sales and who has the best advertizing campgn to support the project, which is indeed a tragedy for the direction computer entertainment is heading.
