I encourage you all to go and listen to the music of whichever final fantasies you grew up with. The amount of memories and experiences that I can remember just from listening back over these old songs really is amazing.

Saying that, listen to any music of any old games you used to play and any money, you'll unlock memories and exactly where you were and what you were feeling at the time of listening to the music before.

I still think FFIV had one of the best soundtracks ever on any game. I also remember FFVI when the World of Chaos event happened, I was up all night trying to regain all my party members, man those were good times.

FFVI definitely had perhaps the best sound track of any RPG :D

I have around 50+ rpg OSTs playing in WinAmp all the time, FFI-XII included, I love hearing a tune from a game and reliving that feeling in my head from when I first played it.

I grew up on the new(Ps1) FFs >.> <.<

"The Decisive Battle" from FFVI is probably one of the most INTENSE songs ive listened to lately. DAMN.

*goes back to listen to it*.

I plan on learning it on keyboard soon, watchout Yanni!

Battle on the Big Bridge, Bitches!

Is it a sin that Gilgamesh is my favorite NPC/Villian/Character in FF history? I love that song, only wish it played when you fight him in FFVI Advance, or in FFVIII when you get him at the Lunatic Pandora after ole Seifer gives Odin the heave ho.

Saddest moment in FF History :(

Odin being split in half for a change. Zantetsukan flying and being caught by a mysterious hand, however, is probably one of the coolest.

Eh i've only played FF FF2 FF10 and FF9

I like the most of the music for FF10 overall I liked Auron's theme the most of ff10

in FF2 anyone know that song that you get when you open a monster chest? God I love that song!

You need to get the fuck on outa here boy, and don't come back till you've played at least 6 7 and 8.

....damn kids these days...Jesus

Seriously, dont waste your time on QCDN or FFXI. Go play those games:shok:

If we're just talking FF's, both 6 and 8 are near, if not, at the top, As far as RPGs in general go though, I think the best soundtrack goes to Chrono Cross. I'd put Tales of Legendia up there too. And maybe Skies of Arcadia for having the most "suited" soundtrack. Never once in that game did I feel the music was even the slighest bit out of place

That title is sadly taken by FFVIII, regardless of the fact that it was one of the most awful FF games.

That is true, FFVIII had a really good music selection but I dunno.. considering most of the time I spent was playing around on world map (at least compared to other places) FFVI definitely had a better world music song :P

FFviii was awesome. I always thought 9 was the worst. But I don't want to turn this into a '8 sucks - no 9 sucks - no, you're both wrong, x-2 sucks' argument.

That song the play in FFviii near the beginning, when all the SeeD ships are on their mission. That was always my favorite song. That, and that flute number from 6.

I always love listening to the OSTs of the old fantasys...although the bestest thing evar was going to see Dear Friends in Chicago...did anyone else go see that? It was a good trip. =3 And they did amazing.
