That sword is so pimp.

The additional effect procs about as often as joyeuse according to the posts, and does around 1/4 of your hp in damage.

Also using KoR procs a regen type effect, and I believe he stated somewhere in there that he randomly gets an invincible effect.

For KoR, it's like a 40% damage enhance if you're closing light, and 60% enhance if you're continuing light > light with it.

As for it being wasted, I don't think so. That was his character, his gil spent, his complete time spent hunting down the currency, and everything else. He deserves what he worked for regardless of what other people think and what his class is. Jealous much?

With the current politics of this server, I doubt we'll see any Quetz NA full upgrades before late 2006 at the earliest. They got that done because an entire LS worked to get (I believe) their leader Excalibur.

Who's closest? Is anyone past stage 3 yet?

Almost positive that Odon only needs the attestation to get stage 4 knuckles for his up and coming MNK.

Not sure, positive he's stage 3 though.

Attestations drop off certain Shadow NM's that are 3 different job types which means they can do all 3 2hours of said job during the fight. I'm not too sure if the attestation is 100% drop every time but each NM can drop each of the 3 attestations corresponding to the weapons job.

much less. You need to kill certain NM's (that's very hard... three jobs, can use all 2-hours, followed by other NM's of those 3 jobs) that drop a random attestation that those three jobs can use.

Unfortunately I know how red mage works. It was a SE mistake to give RDMs access to high-end swords. Excalibur belongs more on a PLD and WAR. Purely aesthetic and logical reasons. Yay for the rdm or whatever, but it's a knight's sword, the weaponskill is knights of the round, and King Arthur was a knight. I'd be 10 times happier if he equipped it for the first time as a paladin.

Not to rain on the parade, but he ruined the moment. He let a ****ing rdm pull excalibur out of the stone.
