One of FFXI's Last Mysteries

I thought that boat was the pirate boat that randomly ransacks ships between Selbina and Mhaura? . . .

My idea is that this will be the ship that takes you possibly to the Far East region of the game (if that ever gets released). I dunno, just my opinion.

I got my money on Pirate boat, you see Humes in cloaks summoning the undead and everything. Those bastards.

Surprised no one mentioned that blocked path beside the Kazham AH.

There's nothing back there. Chasym proved it to us.

Spelunker's hat and stumbling sandals is all that I have to say about this "mystery."

Used for skilling up I beleive.

The norg boat? Yeah I believe that is either the pirate ship, or going to be later implimented as a way to the far east, though imo the dev team would most likely make the ship from selbina go to the far east, since the ship from mhaura goes to the near east...

Yeah, I've seen the faces in gustaa, and other wierd crap... And I am convinced SE has added in random easter eggs in ffxi, I'm not even joking, one time I was going through jugner and looked the abckside of a random boulder via swivekling my camera, and there was a name signed on the under side.

Haven't been able to find the dman thing since, but it wasn't in plain sight, since the boulder was leaned against a wall and you had to swivel your camera under it just right so you could see the name. I'm guessing the guy who did the textures for jugner signed his name randomly onthe rock.

Who knows? Maybe the texture guys all have their names signed on random peices of geomotry all voer vana d'iel, there's like, what, 20 of them?

On another note, anothe rmystery I forgot...

The broken 3 broken archaic machiens or whatever they're called, used to make runic weapons? All 9, including the broken 3, have a color that matches up with one of the 9 types of colored chips, includign the 3 dropped in that dungueon over by beaucidine...

The other 6 colore dchips you buy from goblins in the main city, but these other 3 machines... hmmm....

Another thing, now that SE has implemented the personalities on NPCs, one of the NPC personalities, when tlaked to, tlaks about how hidden parts of a super weapon are hidden in the cities...

IE: "That head of that church, it could be the head..." Or "The hand must be hidden around here somewhere..."

I forgot what she says word for word, but she rtefers to body parts of the machine hidden within the walls of the city... O.o;

Weapon maybe? Dunno...

Except the stumbling boots is pointless for skilling up... it serves no purpose other than being a joke item.

All I know is the crags are one giant machine.

Surprised no one mentioned that blocked path beside the Kazham AH.

GM Gludd told me that's where they keep the male mithra but Alanone told me they sit under your mog house and clean the blood off your armor. I used to ask where the male mithra are every time a I called a GM and they asked if there was anything else they could help me with. Apparently they're both wrong cause last time I called they told me to do Windys missions in the past <_<

I almost forgot, but theres a cave in Batilla Downs that doesn't go anywhere. It's just a dead end, possibly they meant for it to zone into another area or something, but as of now its just a cave entrance of nothingness. Another unfinished project I guess.

I think there's quite a handful of dead end caves. If anything, they can be used for ??? points for future job AF quests, or even just quests that hop from past to present.

The next expansion back should be based on the moon. Since you know, it's one place we haven't explored yet, and since most of Vanadiel revolves around the moon (drop rates, skill up rates, craft rates, NMs, weather...). Cid can create a ice crystal airship which will shield the ship from the atmosphere and use a water crystal to supply oxygen (H2O? I hate science) onboard so we can breathe.

Mobs should include Lesser Alien, Greater Alien, a HNM called Queen Alien.

And in reference to that emo sounding name "Blood of Bahamut" rumoured to be the next FFXI expansion pack, this might not be too far off:

In FF7 didn't one of the 3 Bahamut Summons sit on the moon (Bahamut Zero?) and CHARGINGMALAZERZ then it fired down to the earth and does 9999 damage to all mobs on screen?

Bahamut lived on the moon in FFIV too.

lol Queen Alien though.

If you ever look at the textures in Gustaberg there's random smiley faces freaking everywhere. (or i'm just insane)

Anyone else see it?

Throne room - Door for Shadowlord Fight.

And i thought it was just me that's insane.

My goal this week, when I can actually play and not have to rush to Dynamis, is to get the screen shot of the face! :D Expect it in 2-3 weeks. >.>

I've seen that one and would definitely think at least the Xarc one was intentional :D

O_o Where are there grasshoppers? I've been all through Konshtadt Highlands and I've never seen a grasshopper >_> SHOW ME THE GRASSHOPPERS :dur:

Also, I've never seen a 'wild cardian' even after all this time playing, lol.

Edit: I have seen, however, sharks. Not in Al'Tieu, but in Buburimu Penninsula on one of the beaches. The one going towards Bibiki I think. Just 6 huge sharks spiraling in the water. I saw it last year and I'd never seen them before. I have SS's at home :3

they appear sometime around the lake with malboro near the bird NM

Also butterflies

Wow, those are pretty huge.
You'd think more people'd notice them >>;

i've seen the sharks and fish off the coasts in valkurm dunes and buburimu peninsula. as a tarutaru, you get a good up-close-and-personal view while drowning.

Nope they are very small and jump very fast, I had max zoom+first person view I think.

Ive seen a bunch of random things in the water. Its crazy how much they actually put into the small stuff that no one notices.
