I just want to say that my name is Valoran and I've made mistakes in the game.

One time, I forgot to first-voke because someone came into my room and was talking to me.

One time, I hit the wrong macros and chi blasted a sapling-class mob in CN.

As a noob, I subbed 12 whm for my monk main until level 30 so I could be mnk/sam (I'm now mnk/war, having learned quite a bit).

I used to drop beastman's seals.

I was once rude to a guy who recommended some tactic to me in a party because I hadn't heard of it before. He was probably totally in the right.

The point is, after reading the flameboards recently, I now know that these errors are likely all captured on screenshots, and will be used as evidence both for my exclusion from sky linkshells, and a determination of my value as a player AND human being.

I'm really sorry to the entire cast of thousands who play FFXI on Quetz; I really like our server, but I can see now that my 50 days of playtime have been wasted, and I'll go start a char on another server.

If anyone can ever see fit to forgive my mistakes, let me know, but I wilt under the self-righteous fury of these totally right and morally impeccable accusers who loom over the flameboard, and I fear the day when some new mistake, accidental or not, will bring me before the gaze of these omniscient twelve-year olds who have a hidden and secret direct line to absolute morality. I had no idea that the community had come together so strongly to elect such elite of our own members as judges over our every action, but I now know that mine will be too stringently evaluated for my pleasant-gaming tastes.

Don't get me wrong, I love that this is a game I can work hard in. I just know that I don't have time to both fully comprehend the tangled moral issues of every other player on the server AND get my woodworking skill to 100 and my monk to 75.

Hopefully, there are a few people out there who will let a passive, non-judgemental, damn fine (if I do say so myself) monk party with them a few times and maybe take a crack at chi blasting Kirin. All I can say is that I will be hard at work at whatever I do.

Meh, I personally just ignore the giagantic e-dicks that like to roam the flameboards (can you say compensation?)

Just a sidenote, the crucifiers of every false move that comonly roam the flameboards here may total 30 at best. The server has roughly 12000 different people, if not more. :wink:

I'm sorry...I find your response quite humorous considering your many posts regarding Mielle recently.

Kiere, I haven't made "many posts" regarding her; maybe what, two? And both of them are regarding that her warping on the party as well as failing to two what are other wise VERY simple tasks for mages. I didn't even flame her, I simply stated an opinion..try to learn the difference, thanks~

It casts almost as fast as any cure, and from the logs, Mielle weren't exactly "chain curing", or even using strong cures for that matter. In the end Mielle was just leeching what can possibly be excellent party, and further ruining the reputation of White Mages. So please, do the GOOD mages a favor and just quit, now. And don't play the "my job is so hard" card, because from the jobs I've played, I still find it to be the easiest I've tried.

lol, and I think she's reffering to me. Who by the way, I don't recall ever making a flame topic about anyone. Sure I flame discussions and such, but flame somebody for making a mistake?

So you're calling me a hypocrit...based on one thing I've said. That's sortof, what's the word I'm looking for..oh sh!t, hypocritical, wow. pot->kettle?

To an extent that is just my own opinion, I guess in a sense it is a flame..*shrug*

But seriously, in that party I look at the logs and what did I see? A White Mage casting Cure II very seldomly and nothing else. No Haste, no Slow, no Dia, no Paralyze, no Regen. If all she does is Cure II then guess what, someone in the party with /WHM could very well do the exact same thing and they could've filled her slot with someone who puts a bit more effort into her job. When she was asked to do more, she threw a tantrum and warped out. If someone benefits the party very little, or even none, then they're "leeching" in my books. Period.

Being a White Mage is really not hard at all, especially with a Ninja. You haste a few people, regen the NIN, and if there's a BRD instead of RDM, you'll probably be the one to toss in Slow/Para/Silence. Usually thats all you really get to do with a NIN tank cause they usually don't get hit (if you Haste them..*cough*).

It's not tough yet she acted like it was brain surgery or something just to juggle Cures and Haste, let alone Regen/Slow/Para/Silence(if needed). In my opinion, if handling trivial crap like that is backbreaking work, not to mention absolute blasphemy for the party to expect that stuff, then the person is flat-out wasting the party's space, and should either quit being that job or go practice casting spells, because apparently their first 60-so levels weren't enough for them.

Asides referring to her as a leecher (see above), I didn't really flame her at all. So don't go comparing me to some of the crucifiers here...hell, you flamed me more in that paragraph than I do here in two whole posts.


And once again I say "swing and a miss".
