K, so I logged on this morning to see shouts by Palides for a 6th in Royal ramble BCNM. I have a rdm/war alt, and alotta experience with the bcnm, so I joined. Anyone who has ever done this bc knows that its challenging, not only is the fight itself challenging, but after wins, the party needs to wait while the chest popper is bounced to saruta and has to walk back. All in all, a win typically takes 30 minutes or more by the time people get back to Balga’s Dias, and even though our party was good, this was no exception. So, after three hours of prep and bc, we still had two orbs left to do. Pretty standard really, it’s a long slow bc, but I figured I was alright because all the other members were from the same, a relatively old and solid ls; the art of war. And typically, people can count on their ls mates to finish runs in order to avoid screwing each other, so I felt safe.
But then an interesting thing happened, after three hours of solid connection, Palides DC immediately after receiving his orb items, and didn’t come back. It was more than a little obvious what happened, he had logged on the win side of Balga’s Dias. Either that, or he should call his power company / ISP and thank them for the greatest coincidence I have seen since I started at the NA release.
But it was ok, Art of War was more than happy to sub in another of its members who also had an orb and was available. This wasn’t just convenient, it was laughable. At this point id like to know if this was just an unbelievable coincidence or if Palides actually planned his/her dc to get Country into the run, but w/e (I have a pretty strong hunch it was the second)
So, after 3 a half hours of BC, I wasn’t willing to take this screwing from one person, much less an entire ls. So, here it is, a simple warning, if you run BCNM with Palides or with Art of War, be advised, they were good, knew what they were doing, but I suggest you insist on going first so they don’t try to manipulate you into doing extra work unfairly.
One more thing, if anyone happens to know whether Palides ahs Country’s account info to log in, I’d really like to know. I’m already pretty sure I know what happened, but at this point a confirmation would be closure. Either way, my blacklist just got it’s 3rd name in 6 years.
If Art of War wasn't as complicit in all this as my post suggested, too bad. I am using your members as representatives of your ls, if you can't police yourselves, quetz community needs to know it.
