I went last Saturday trying to get this item as my main jobs are DRK and PLD and it was so heavily camped I wasn't even able to get one pop. So I went back last night and yay! No campers. But I went 0/4. 40k lost on this neck piece for lack of drops.

I am wondering if there is anyone who has had similar bad luck trying to get this item?
 
I went 2/9. And had 3 other people with me.

Ok, I feel better now lol. Hope to get this item before I bust G3 the first weekend in November so I can have it for both my jobs.

That could be the main issue there. Weekends and friday nights are the most packed hours and the worst time to camp anything as a result.
 
2 /11 one was lost due to D/C while I was in a pt.
Fridays and Sat is evil packed, go durring off hours and you will
own the place.

Better luck on claims and drops, I hope...

I'm 1/1 on it now, twice. The one on Saturday was for a friend, and it was crowded as Hell. 5 people at the point I was camping. But w/e, just gotta focus on claim. It was a 15-20 minute trip for me both times.
 
First night: 1/11 (brought 11 drinks and dropped on last)
So, next day I go back to get mine.
Brought another 11 drinks and then dropped on 3rd pop.

So 2/14 total.

So this is a popped NM, but it doesn't popped claimed? So people pop it, and others are there to try to take it?

No, its just a matter of being able to trade to the "Scrawled Writing" faster then the other 15 people trying to trade to it too lol. It pops every 15 minutes in 3 different locations, G-13, I-9 and I-11. He definitely isn't a pushover Gob for me, and last night on my first pop if I had stopped to explain to the MNK that was with me that the Gob uses Blood Weapon as a 2hr and when he does that I was going to pop Invincible and Cover and to get behind me I coulda killed it that pop too =/ lol.

And yeah, I saw you while i was running from the G-13 to I-9 spawn points lol. Congratulations on your drop^^

Haha yeah, I've had similar luck with the gorget, I went on Monday night and went 0/4, 36k down the drain :P
 
What kind of setup do you need to kill this thing? Like what lvl to solo it and such? Or duo at what lvl?

I need to go get this thing soon.

I went as my PLD60 and had a MNK 60 with me. If she had stayed behind me when it went 2hr and I went Invincible and she would have went Hundred Fists we woulda pwnd it. Really last night after that wipe where the MNK got her ass kicked by Blood Weapon, we acquired a WHM55 and we killed 3 pops.

A 75 can solo easily though. So 1 75 or 2-4 60ish can do well as long as one has healing magic, a whm or rdm.

went out last night and like I said, there were absolutley no campers. So you should have no issues. I, personally, am going to wait until I get a THF to go with me lol, TH2, {Yes, please}

heh. I may have a THF who could help. I'll have to ask him. If I do find one and I see you are ingame, I'll send a /tell and you could join us if you want. ^^
 
The only way I was able to solo this on 75DRK was with a NIN sub. So unless you are a good solo job, you may find it a bit a pain in the ass.

haha, yea I won't be solo'n it. I'll have backup ^^ Have to ask the posse for some help. heh.

I'll be online tonight around 8:30 EST, and if you are tanking I'll bring out my DRK for the extra damage lol.
