Movie Paranormal Activity 2, October 22nd, 2010

There is really nothing scary about it. Its just that some people, like me, are scared of their own shadows. Scared to go into the basement. Run up the steps when they go to bed at night because we're pretty convinced that a monster is on their way up next to us.

There are people like me who are even more terrified to go to sleep at night because their bed is exactly under the entrance to the attic. Scared to look into mirrors when they pass them when they're alone because there might be something scary in the reflection. Scared to take a shower when no one is home because yes, a skeleton or zombie just might end up in there with you, and what are you gonna do about it?

Don't put me in the same boat as twilight. I'm just a damned pussy. I'm not ashamed to admit it. But movies like this, well most movies, scare the shit out of me.

Yes, I even thought that Blair Witch 2 was scary.

On a side note, I'm pretty sure this is going to be an entirely new story, not a continuation of the old one. eh. I'll still go see it. That will be me, screaming, the person you are laughing at on your way out.

lmao, that is all stuff I do. I'm a Proud Pussy! ...or something like that.

These kind of horror movies don't care me at all. They are nothing but timed jump scares. I want to see this in theaters though so I can see the reactions of people. I never saw the first one in theaters.

I wouldn't really say that's the case for PA. Drag Me to Hell used ALOT of jump scares. PA didn't really. Except the scream at the end, which scared the bajeezus outta me.

drag me to hell was such a good movie. it was scary but it was also so fucking good!!! THAT is how you do horror.

Not saying it was bad by any means. I mean, just the opening scene with the kid nearly made me leave. I was like "O.O"

I'm just saying it used alot of "jump out and scare you" momentary scares.

I found drag me to hell to be too predictable. But I'm a massive horror movie buff so there is rarely a plot that I can't predict.

That isn't that hard. The characters simply do the OPPOSITE of what any reasonable individual would do.

"I heard something come from the basement!" *inches down basement stairs.*
"I heard something in the attic!" *slowly climbs attic ladder*
"That door just creaked open eerily!" *slowly reaches out for doorknob*

It wasn't just the whole opposite thing that made Drag me to hell predictable. Even shit with that button or coin or w/e the fuck it was was predictable and I found myself saying what happened before it happened.

Man, you all take your horror movies way too seriously. Drag me to hell was filled with hilariously coincidental situations, leading to predictable but horrifying and at times absolutely hilarious results. Don't any of you have fun when you go to the movies anymore, or are you too busy trying to see the screen from your high horse you rode in on?

(I know this kind of makes me a hypocrite.. re: airbender thread)

I love horror movies. I grew up on horror movies. When I watch a movie I look for a good storyline. If I'm too sidetracked by annoying chars then I won't care how good the story is. I'm talking about the first Paranormal Activity movie of course.

If a ghost, something you can't see grabs your girlfriends fucking leg and drags that bitch across the hall you DO NOT talk smack to the fucking ghost. That was my biggest issue with PA. The characters were just too unlikeable for me to get into the movie.

Can't argue here. Micha was a fucking tard. And not just there. The ouiji board incident pissed me off too. It's his fault the ending happened the way it did.

Yes, let's antagonize and threaten the potentially violent, intangible, para-dimensional entity with threats of an ass kicking by what is essentially a walking hot dog. Micah or w/e his name is was a total buffoon.

Side note is I went to HS with the chick who starred in the 1st one :3

Yeh the man in the first film was just plain annoying, I'm surprised I even sat all the way through it.

he played his role well then. A big guy who thinks he can solve any problem as long as he can do it his way. If anyone recommends otherwise he will find ways to convince them his way is best.
That was the point of his entire role, to try to be the one who could solve it in his brute manner, and his show of helplessness while still trying to remain the strong one shows in the acting as well.
I found he did his role as well as it could have been done.
