More and more players are being hacked everyday and then go to their local forum to whine about it. I'm not here to flame anyone or anything. But rather just post a few tips to help prevent hacking.
1) If you care about your saved data and what work you have accomplished, then i suggest changing your password every month or every other. The longer you leave your password the same, the longer you allow someone to hack your account...
2) the smaller the password is, the smaller the encryption for your password is. If your using a "lmao 5 characters" long password then your below a 64 bit code encryption, and most hackers are using 128 bit encryption devices.
3) Use Caps, Lower case, and Numbers randomly placed in your password. this helps stop Keygens and other such devices to gain access to your account slower.
4) Do NOT save your password or write it down within your computer... this even goes with "save your password?" like PoL does. anything that asks for saving a password, simply cookies your password and opens it when needed. Spy ware, Ad ware and even viruses, look at your cookies and can send them to anyone. Stating how long your password on a forum site or any site is begging to be hacked.
i'm tired of always hearing that people get hacked or hear friends who get hacked because most people are too damn lazy to protect yourself. Always fun playing inside a bubble until someone comes to burst it.
P.S.
People who get hacked, I just don't blame the hacker, I blame you for not protecting yourself.
