The rar contains all the files changed by this update.

Word of warning, due to the fact this will cause PoL to do a full file check, it will restore back your dat swaps to the ffxi originals!

Instructions:
In the supplied .rar file, you'll see a PlayOnline folder.

All you will need to do is open up the folder on your computer where your PlayOnline folder currently is and drag and drop.

In most cases, that would be C:\Program Files\.

Extract the .rar and overwrite everything. After you do that, launch FFXI and attempt an update, you will get an error, just click Retry and it will do a full file check.

After which, you should be able to get into the game normally.

I'll take a 15 minute filecheck over a 6 hour normal download anytime :)

Yes, sadly you still need to get the version checked, and then when trying to play again as well. It is quite overloaded atm; sigh if only they invested a tiny bit in upgrading their network ;p
 
I was defiantly wasn't looking forward to getting home and down the update, thanks man ^^
 
8 hour patch download turned into a 7 min patch download and 20min filecheck. <3 <3 <3
 
Apparently I have too many dats modified? Mine is taking forever >_>
 
Not many people run more modded .dats than I do, maybe just a bad connection? **Please Note** running brandsons UI enhancements will make you crash with level sync. Might want to switch that back or wait for a fix.
