I think it's bullshit that we're going by a rule of, "oh, we'll just take it away when someone complains."
Either regulate strictly or do not censor anything.

I'm sorry, but there will always be conflicts in real life.
There will always be rascists, liars, thieves, and hypocrites in the world.
They are not excluded from an Internet forum either.

Speak for yourself, and perhaps for those who hang with you, but don't automatically include everyone just because there are a number of users who are not happy with the way things are.

The change here at QCDN was sudden and drastic, no doubt about that. It could have been handled better, but it is done, and dwelling on how it happened will not accomplish anything. While it is nice to state the obvious over and over, it does tend to sound like a broken record after a while.

If you have any interest in improving QCDN, then you are welcome to share your thoughts on how things should be done (excluding bringing the old FB back), and just as I told CubsWoo, I will put as much effort into making it happen as I possibly can if those suggestions are reasonable and workable.

As for your other attempts to backhand comments in the direction of anyone who feels similarly to me, whether they speak their minds or not (I can certainly understand why they wouldn't want to have a chat with you), congratulations on your new found optimism. It sure seems to have helped you a whole lot.

In all seriousness, I really do hope you get what you are looking for with your changes (IRL), but as your mentality shifted it didn't translate well to QCDN.


You call it a broken record, yet you participate in the discussion about this board and repeat the same tune as much as the next guy. So.....?

I agree that personal accountability is necessary. This place is less of a free-for-all (not necessarily being a bad thing) now that people have personal accountability for their actions.

It's also pretty stuffy in here. And when it's not, every comment is disguised and backhanded. Direct insults are no longer. Sarcasm is the wave of the future, all right! See?

I agree that not everyone feels the way I do. I am not speaking for everyone, as I can clearly see plenty of people offering opposing viewpoints. Sculli, you ... ...

However, there are many in this thread alone who have chosen to say something. I can understand others for not wanting to say something, because they feel they cannot. The problem is, why do they feel that they cannot speak their minds?

That IS a problem.

As I said, it’s your house, run it like you want. But this is just stupid. If you say something in print, it’s with you for the rest of your life. If it was doctored, or if it was offensive i could understand, but this isn’t the case.

What’s the point of having a quote function if people can’t stand behind what they say?

See, I see the signature as part of the post. What if I posted it into the body of every post I made. You would probably erase it, right? So, as I see it, your editing posts because someone found it hurt their feelings, which to me is totally juvenile

There is a difference between making a board civil and juvenile. I can understand wanting to make it civil, hence why I didn’t give you too much grief about it(especially after qcnn was formed). But you just crossed the line, and you turning this board into a place for children.

except.. most do just give in and be mindless sheep with america XD so many times I've seen friends go do something with other friends even though they hate doing those things (like a friend of mine that hates dances going to a dance to be "in" with her friends). America is full of mindless sheep. But not just America.. every country in the world there are mindless sheep that will ignore their own personal beliefs and do something they don't really wanna do deep down. I don't see many people sticking to their ideals much when it differs from the majority x.x
