People can go back to their normal jobs now

lol you know how much though tools cost to make less you hq3 them there no profit
Really? Shihei bounce around, but typically hover around 8k a stack. With 60 alchemy and 60 Woodworking I can take:
-2 stacks cone calamary (10k/stack)
-1 stack wind tea leaves (20/each from NPC)
-18 distilled water (10/each from NPC)
-6 elm logs (~2k each)
-6 moko grass (15/ each cloth guild)
-1 stack dark crystals
-6 lightning crystals
-3 stacks wind crystals
All that totals to about 40k in materials. For about an hour of rounding up materials and synthing, I can turn that into about 15 stacks of shihei on average. Buying 15 stacks of shihei on AH is about 120k.

Within the past 6 months I've leveled different crafts off Makibishi, Hiraishin, Sairui-Ran, Kaginawa, and Jusatsu. All synths came out to profit while leveling the craft from as far as 7 levels below cap, and had no issues selling toolbag stacks at the AH (with leftovers for my ninja to go along with profits) All of those synths but Jusatsu you can get up to the 31 tier by leveling their respective crafts to 60. At 31 tier you'll average about 20-25% more per synth than I got while leveling.

I was hoping for something better out of the san elemental line, I'm gonna hang onto Suiton: San unless I find out the resistance down duration isn't longer than Suiton: Ni, and toss by remaining merits into that Cheap Bastard Job Trait, after I finish off Subtle Blow and HP/MP.

Not gonna dispute that shihei is a profit synth, because lord knows that up until last Oct, I made more shihei than anyone not named basdfg or skylong, but the only way you are getting logs for that price is to raid the guild right after a maintenace and sometimes after firesday. Elm logs usually run between 6-9k.

Elm logs and Nebs are what drives the price of shihei.

That used to be true, but since ToAU there are now twice as many guild bought elm logs to be had, so the guilds don't sell out daily any more. In fact the most I've paid for an elm log since ToAU release was about 4k, I typically pay 1800-2300.

first off you need think how SE thinks. 1 they are trying to diversitize the jobs you not suppost to merit all them to lvl 1, they want you pick 1 or 2 then merit them lvl 3 or 6. Ya i know way to go se morrons making use choice between spells. As for ninja, agian think SE ninja was never suppost to be a front line fighter there where suppost to be preety much like cor is with throwing weapons. (To bad they forgot about throwing ws)

Let just hope they move the 6 merits up to 10 or 12 in the near fcher

Just FYI, the Throwing sweet spot is point blank range, so no, Ninja was never supposed to be a back line job. -_-

Sweet Spots werent around when ninja came about. So it is still possible they -were- meant to be a backline jobs.

it closer then the others, but the players made ninja into tanks it was suppost to be a range job just look at the ninja type tonberry or orcs or yags

Thats what i'd go with. Everything, even rangers were allowed to melee when they came out :P

wth?

I'm gone for a weekend and already I don't know this game anymore...

Is this Merit system based on the one already in motion or this a new way of getting merited things?

ps. I'm saying because there are people who already Merited everything! O.O

I don't know what you're smoking, but anything that saves 30% of anything isn't pointless. It basically gives you 30% more tools. And you were complaining about Ninja and inventory before. Dude, seriously, what have you gotten in to? That means for every full stack of tool bag, you have a phantom bonus 4. Pretty silly thing to nitpick and downplay.

I never have more then 1 stack of every tool on me. And a stack of Shihei Toolbags cuz thats the only thing I will go through more then 1 stack of in a day. So tool expertise won't save me any inventory space.

You also said theres not enough raac for ninja to use it.
WTF there's raac boosting af, af+1 and relic everywhere for ninja.
I think this might be a matter of people asking for a use for ninja's A+ throwing skill and without realizing once they gotta use it they have to skill it up to cap now.

Um I didn't say there isn't enough RAcc gear for Ninja, I said we don't have enough inventory space to carry around yet ANOTHER gear set.

Does throwing ammo even matter about distance? I thought accuracy and damage was only affected by distance when using a Ranged slot weapon (Bow, Crossbow...) and throwing ammo was not affected?

I think 1397 with utsu:ni with weakest shuriken against a puk is rather good, but that's just me.

That's pretty sweet if it's true, but where is the proof? And how consistent is that? And really the only thing that matters is how effective is this ability on HNM's where I really care about?

Only thing I could find digging there was that someone doing 1351 on a Lesser Colibri with Manji Shurikens (the third tier shurikens)

edit - found someone that did almost 1500 damage vs the level 70 weak to piercing mobs, using Fuma Shurikens, Yellow Curry, Berserk, Warcry, with 289 Throwing.

god, would you guys STOP CRYING over the update?

they give you new stuff, and well, you all hyped it up yourselves to be something incredible before it was even there.

half the monsters in the game are more beatable than ever with new gear, and players with more and more merits. they added new NM. they added new assaults. they added new missions. they added abilities/traits or spells for EVERY JOB.

stop whining already. damn. be appreciative for once.

Along the same lines, merits were never intended to be huge boosts. Each upgrade is a small boost, if you stack them they turn into a larger, noticable boost. People were expecting game-breaking changes in these merits apparently, and forgetting what merits really are, small changes to get the level 75's to play more.

thank you! someone that understands! :D

i mean i can understand maybe being disappointed that you dont feel its worth the value of the merit you spend on it, but.. to just bitch/whine/moan/complain is just retarded.

im not putting any merits into any of the new stuff until i let more people test it and see what works best...
