Yyyyess....I did make it sound like those who attempt to be somebody in a MMO suck. But not universally. You can do things in this game to be a somebody that I respect. But like I've already said, if you want GIL to have anything to do with that, you have to be first class. IE not decidence and vang. They have gil, but not anything impressive to me. Impressive to me is to buy from my bazaar--ancient coins at high volume for 35k a piece. Those are the ONLY people who have the RIGHT to brag about how rich they are in FFXI. Anyone on this forum trying to call me poor and gimp...please. Compared to them even the best on here is nothing. So if you want to brag about your armor and your gil...I can't be impressed. The people who I deal with every day are the only people who are impressive in the FFXI world based on what they HAVE.

So yeah. I make fun of the paupers of the forum who try to wave what they have in my face. They're trying to be a somebody when they're really nobodies compared to the people I deal with every day. At least they're a nobody assetwise. Now they can try to be a somebody in another way, and honestly that'll do them more good when it comes to me. No one impresses me financially. You can't. And that's all these beggars try to impress me with. Then when they TRY to impress me with actions and merits...they pull lame examples like "I've gotten tons of people AF" and "I gave gil to a newbie starter once." Then they go right back to flashing their HQ at me like I didn't just tell them they were 10 degrees of too poor to even buy from my bazaar.

I make fun of economic nobodies who think they're economic somebodies, because I'm about the only one on this forum with a true list of the economic somebodies. And I have to tell you, I've only seen one name come up more than once on my sales history, so there are quite a few of them. I know who pays 6 times more than the richest QCDN poster can pay. I have the list right here.

So yeah. There is literally no item a single poster on this forum could flash at me to impress me. And when they try to flash accomplishments, it's always the unremarkable daily accomplishments of ten thousand other players. They got af once. They gave gil once. The best one yet...I wrote a guide on how to be a monk...

So the only people peregrine respects are people going for upgrades, and are willing to pay massively inflated prices for coins to get it done NOW, rather than be smart and save a little money down the road with friends. Apparently if you don't care about getting a relic weapon, which I don't think I've ever heard Vang say he was working on his, your actual wealth isn't important. The only people who peregrine thinks are worthyof respect are people with zero business sense because they never bother to try haggling, or they don't bother asking people to help them out. Apparently if I go buy a 1 coin from peregrine, that instantly gets his respect; sorry, but that's massively overpaying for something from someone so worthless.

When it comes to your gear... What we do care about is when you tell us, like you know something, that gear make little to no impact on your abilities to play a job. When we tell you, from experience, with a basis in fact, that gear does indeed enhance your abilities... And you go off on a rant about us being Elitists, and that we don't know our heads from our elbows. Yes, you're going to get on our bad sides. Your gear will not allow you to be useful in a HNM fight, plain and simple. You don't know anythign about the mechanics of an HNM fight, you have no where near as much experience as some of the posters here in killing HNM... If I were to put you up in an HNM fight it would be a waste, you would hit for 0's, if you hit at all. Even on the weaker HNM. Your gear presents a picture of you, and your gear says "WARNING: EXTREMELY INEXPERIENCED". It has nothing to do with having NQ gear per se. It's that it is 10, 20, 30 levels out of date for any thief that is doing anything even remotely Endgame, may it be HNM or Dynamis. And you can't bullshit me and tell me I am wrong, because I am a 75 Thief, and have participated in every endgame arena there is, and I have had all kinds of gear. Your gear also shows your level of Commitment and interest. Peregine... I see Gil sellers with better gear than you... Even they put a particular value on equiptment and every gil they spend is one more they cant sell...

This game is about goals. Each player has thier own. I like to kill things. Some people collect gear. Others Craft. No one but you is making a point to bring others down for having a particular set of goals. To us, when you spout off, it seems like you call anyone with a set of goals an elitist. I think the real problem is you have no goals at all. Seriously, why do you play?

I actually don't care if you think I am an elitist prick. To be honest, i probably have a shitload more fun in this game than you. I mean how fun can this game be for you sitting in jeuno all day... alone...
