Awesome, awesome game. Pretty much everything in Persona 3 has been improved upon. The only complaint is there's still no "re-roll" feature when trying to fuse personas; you have to exit out of the fusion result screen and reselect the last persona you're going to fuse with for a chance to carry over different abilities.
The social links are more indepth, and offer more as you level them up. By level 3 with your party members, they will take a hit for you that can kill the main character(main character dying = game over); by I think it's level 5, they will occasionally do an extra hit when you knock an enemy down. Chie's extra hit just knocks a mob(not the one knocked down!) out of the fight entirely.
The card mini game at the end of fights has changed, there is no more swords, cups, clubs or coins cards. Now, you can choose between persona cards, "blank" cards which look like broken glass, and cards with big red X's on them that void all exp/items/yen earned during the fight. Sometimes though, you get a second part of the mini game, where one of the arcana cards is revealed and spun(this is optional, btw). If the arcana cards lands right side up, then something happens(generally good), if it lands right side down, then something else happens(generally bad).
