Pixeljunk Monsters was terrific, if you haven't tried it out yet, there's a demo for that in the store. Pixeljunk Racers is fun for a little while - worth the price kind of thing, good if you have 4 people.

I have high hopes for Pixeljunk Eden, we shall see today.

And I have really high hopes for Pixeljunk Dungeons, but that's at least 6 months off. But come on, Pixeljunk Dungeons people... give Eden a try, and if you like it a buy - gotta fund that Dungeons.

Gonna try it out after work.

I'll certainly try it. PJ Monsters is one of my favorite games but PJ Racer was meh. Watching the videos of Eden hasn't excited me too much. Hopefully it is fun to play and has a lot of replay value.

Wow this game is freaking weird. My first attempt I didn't like it because I didn't understand what was going on and what I was supposed to do. My second play I figured it out and still lost. Third playthrough I kicked ass. Then went to the second garden and played and enjoyed it. It's a relaxing type of game... sort of - you get tense when your time starts to drop. I feel like this is gonna be a love it or hate it kind of reaction for most people. The hate its are mostly going to be the people who get sick of it before they understand it fully enough.

So wtf am I suppose to do? <.<;;

EDIT: k found out... but I'm still kinda bored of it lol

It seemed ok. Once I master the controls I think it will be better. Sometimes when I wanted my silk thread to attach it wouldn't or other times I wanted to just stick to the sprout and my silk would stick. So I wouldn't say the controls are 100% intuitive but once I get them down I should enjoy it more.

The youtube integration should add some competitive speed runs.

Didn't care for it. I can see the appeal, but it's just boring to me.

Like all Pixeljunk before it, they ramp up in difficulty just right to get me extremely addicted and have really amazing local multiplayer to keep me interested. Me and my friend played this for hours tonight, and I have to say... it gets very hard - and you need to work well together or you are screwed. Once you start to master the tricks, you can do some amazingly cool stuff. With the youtube feature built in, I suspect we're going to see a lot of stunts all over the net pretty soon.

I will be having fun with this for a while. The demo really showed the mechanics, the game is in the design that gets better and better as it goes.

Here's a video of me and friend getting all 5 from Garden 8.

Just a warning, we had to figure out a puzzle to solve it, and watching may ruin that for you. Also just finding the 5th, is a severe pain / challenge you might want to avoid missing out on.

Lastly, the first attempt at the hard one resulted in us nearly running out of time and returning to the beginning, so if you're not interested in watching us grow out our path to the last one, skip the first vid.

I think the gameplay shown is excellent though, and really sells the game, so it's worth a peak.

Anyone else buy it yet? Me and Prothall are ranked 8th in co-op last we checked, and we're not even going for high score, just trying to clear as much of the game as we can.

Check out this little move we made.

No, I haven't fell in love with the demo yet. I may just wait for the next $5 sale to pick this up.

Q games make the pixeljunk series, and I believe they're HQ'd in Japan, though not necessarily actually a Japanese team. The head is an American I believe.

Just beat it, we were the first 2 player team to do it. Holy crap was the last garden hard. You are going to be happy with the full version if you love games that are extremely hard, in the "make you a better player" kind of way, not the "play til you get lucky" kind of way. Playing this co-op has been the most fun I've ever had playing a platformer.

I believe you can get 5 spectra in the demo. Spectra grow out your own garden to give you access to later gardens - how far you can get with 4 I'm unsure, but once you get the 5th it's locked.
