PS3 PlayStation Network game releases

Too bad you can't play Monster Hunter Freedome Unite on the PSPGo properly :>

I just bought that game. I'm having a bitch of a time working with the camera.

I like the idea of being able to play it with a PS3 controller, though. I'll probably just wait for Monster Hunter 3 on the Wii. lol

they are putting Monster Hunter 3 on the Wii? :P interesting. Hope it makes good use of the new Wiimote Plus.

Anyways, I WANT FF9 AND XENOGEARS! ALREADY ON PSN!! RAWR!

I plan to go with the Classic Controller, myself. I don't think the game will benefit from motion control. Hopefully Nintendo also brings over the newer Classic Controller Pro with four shoulder buttons. I would buy one just for Monster Hunter 3.

I completely failed at playing Monster Hunter on the PSP. It's a lovely game and I really wanted to like it, but the camera control was too frustrating and I quit. I pop it in when I want to show off the kind of graphics the PSP can produce, though.

I don't have a version of the game :( played it at a convention once and I do like it :P but ya, controls can be a bit of a pain if I remember correctly. I still wanna know why the PSP never had a second analog stick to begin with.

This week's update completely sucks, but I don't care because one of my favorite PS1 games, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, has been rated by the ESRB for an upcoming release.

Playable Content

Critter Crunch ($6.99)
Pandemonium! (PS1 Classics) ($5.99)

PSP Content

Over at the Playstation Blog, Oddworld guru Lorne Lanning confirms the first two Oddworld games are coming to PSN this week, priced at $9.99 each. These are definite buys for me.

We're also getting Trine.

I'll just keep playing my PS1 version, thanks.
I have plenty of portable games to keep me busy, so I don't care about being able to take FFVII and in the future VIII-IX with me, which is why I haven't picked up VII off the PSN.

But anyways, wait for VIII then you can keep asking about IX.

We have the long-delayed release of Trine, as well as my beloved Oddworld games and the second batch of Rockstar games. Still no Final Fantasy or Soul Reaver, but I'll take what I can get.

If anyone's looking for a good old-fashioned JRPG, I really like Crimson Gem Saga. It doesn't reinvent the wheel or anything, but it has lots of polish for an age-old formula. Not bad for $15.

Clank demo only increases my anticipation for the game next Tuesday.

I wish I had some extra $, I'd be picking up "A Crack in Time", loved the series since the original on PS2, but alas.

My dreams of a Final Fantasy 8 release the day before I go on vacation have been dashed. In fact, there are no PS1 games this week.

Gotta say I'm glad to see a few titles going on sale for the weekend. I've seen plenty of assorted forum posts ripping at Sony over their PSN prices and huffing that they'll never do a Steam-like sale. I'm glad they're wrong, and I hope it becomes a regular deal.

I want portable FF9 :\ I don't care to play such on my PS3 (well with PS1) anymore. It's so much more enjoyable on my PSP imo. Laying in my bed or bored waiting for a class or something. FF9 is far superior to 8 and superior to 7 anyways :P so fuck those two. Sure 7's out and such but fawk 8, I want 9!

Wish they'd announce games I'm interested in :\ ah well.

Well, FF8 is on the JP store and they've said the English version would be released within a month or two of that. It should be showing up soon. Hopefully, that'll also mean you'll be playing FF9 on your PSP before Spring rolls around.

I was kinda hoping FF8 and 9 would come out around the same time :P since they both have about equal fanbase XD

Neat :D totally getting it.
