PLD info

I'd recommend as long as you can take the hits, have a macro set to have your RSE hands and feet if you're elvaan. As soon as you've used up your first flash and cure spells, switch back to your regular armor. Nice to have a little extra mp on you. But once you hit lvl 41+, mp shouldn't be too big of a problem, and even more so after you hit lvl 51 because you should hopefully have a RDM or a good BRD in your party to keep that mp there.

WoW that link pwns blazn tyvm I got all the info I need now and learned some new things. That sight pwns PWNS I SAY PWWWWWNS

Good hate control = when you used provoke and flashed, and other JA (Job Ability) that give you hate, and Cures

and also a good amount of Def/VIT and what food used.

If anybody tells you to wear HP gear before endgame, slap them with a large jagged metal object repeatedly until they say otherwise. generally speaking you're priorities when looking for xp gear should go in this order

enmity > vit > def > MP > other stats > evasion

(obviously this is if they don't have a negative effect on some other important thing, like the lvl 70 JSE, good vit, but sucks up way to much of your MP if you use the full set, basically it sucks for anything none-taru)

i put MP in there because in XP MP transferes into HP, during the process creating hate for you. evasion is at the bottom for a reason. YOU'RE A PALADIN YOU'RE NOT A NINJA!!!!! if you wanna dodge attacks change your job. yea yea dodging an attack keeps hate, but curing the HP back from taking a hit creates more, if keeping your health up is causing alot of down time...news flash, you're too low for what you're XPing on. every time i see a pld wearing a SH i wanna slap them, it's like a RNG using a fire staff, go back to PLD school and learn wtf your job's supposed to do and how it's supposed to work. if you must insist on using something other than adaman of AF body for XP use a byrnie or a hauby. a pld in evasion gear is like a mage in full on HP gear, doesn't do anyone any good. you're not supposed to dodge, not only that your evasion is way to low for an SH to help you dodge any more than you do anyway. so basically you're just wasting a slot by showing off your gil, put your e-penis away and play your job correctly.

and learn how to work with other jobs. true, it is a pld's job to keep hate, but a good pld should be able to lose it when needed (like having a thf SATA WS on you to close a skill chain). any dumbfuck can voke every 30, flash every 37 or 45 (depending on haste) and spam other JA's so the mob won't budge off them, but good plds can keep it on the edge where it can taken away by another melee if he uses WS and voke.

i read some where about if you voke then flash/cure you get more hate then voke /wait a bit then flash etc is that right?

you lose hate over time as you get hit and as other members in your party build hate by doing whatever they do (damage, curing, etc), so yea, voke immediately followed by flash and cure would spike your hate more in the beginning, but it'll still go down just the same as you get beat on, w/ the recast timers it evens out more or less, heh.

what world do you live in? only 1-2 hits between flash recasts? that's laughable (not to mention wrong)

1-2 is normal on crabs in TBT
those goubie things (sP) hit with double attack but the craps r easy plus when you have this armour set up you rarely notice hits
earth staff
def ring
darksteal+1 gear
(i have no jelly yet ;;)
u got a shit load of -% damage on you and not notice it

What lvl do you need enmity, cause at 45 against 3 blm and a rng I owned hate.

if your party know what they doing pal should not loss hate though mid 60-70 any good dd could pull hate with ws/ magic blast <there are exception to this rule>. Nin on the other hand is a diffent story.

i'll give credit where credit is due

you're right, you won't notice the damage, because w/ that setup you won't be taking any cause you can't hold hate. however the rest of this statement is 100% bullshit, except maybe the part about him not having a jelly ring(you have a defending ring and not a jelly ring? lmao ya ok, go play monopoly with bigfoot and the aliens in roswell)

First thing to remember is 4 separate jobs don't merge into one super hate machine, though multiple spikes from different places can make holding hate harder.

You won't need enmity gear much at all until your AF gives you it. Honestly, most good PLD don't need extra enmity gear to get the job done. Maybe around the time Monks get Raging Fists, or Warrior's get Rampage, but even then you can still hold it pretty solid as a Paladin.

Yea, pretty much.

Only time I worry about hate control is when I'm with a WAR/NIN with a Kraken Club.

<Rampage> x5 a fight. <Can you hear me?>

war/nin kraken is a no no
as monster gains 2 tp per hit double attack not a good idea kraken is best for a nin/war os rng /nin /war

lol, lowest possible PT gain per hit is 5, (unless doing a WS) blazn shutup while you're ahead.
