The grammar (not the emoticons) on this board and in the game is atrocious. I don't care what country you are in, NO does not equal KNOW. Putting a Z at the end of a word does not make it plural. And for the love of life the word is tonight, not tonite. I am very understanding of mistypes and such, but the shown propensity towards a complete lack of knowledge regarding your primary language is disturbing. I am not talking about anyone except first language English speakers. (I mean this to say, if you are speaking your primary language poorly then I hope someone gives you examples more close to home, however I speak English so that is what I will reference) I understand that people didn’t get the name they wanted and had to modify ways to spell the same name fifty times. This understanding ends at the name, beyond that learn to spell and learn to write. Video games are proven to increase manual dexterity, improve hand eye coordination, and decrease decision making time. MMORPG give us a new opportunity to further that learning by interaction with a wide variety of individuals. Please use this opportunity to display what you know and not what you don't know.
 
Try running and typing at the same time. We make short cuts, if we spell the full word we either get aggrod or blamed by the party your in.There are reasons to do short cut spelling. So get over it.
 
omg now were bashed because of they way people spell shit? what a crock of shit ..... Basically if you dont like it dont read it or dont come back because telling people not to do this and that is stupid besides do you actually think we are going to take your post seriously ? In game: bad spelling & grammer is perfectly acceptable
On message board: please, please, please at least try to type intelligently.

There's nothing worse than typing a long /tell and then getting aggro or something and having to hit Esc or whatever you PS2 people do and losing the whole thing...

But on a message board you have no excuse.
 
I personally liked Neosqualls post about Prophecy.

Thank you all for reminding me of my babysitter from third grade. She used to say warsh instead of wash then tell me "Nobody likes a know-it-all" when I corrected her. Seriously I hadn't thought about her since she supersized my McRib Meal a couple of months ago. You guys rock.

Finally, someone I agree with. There's one of these posts every few months, but to the OP: /salute.

My friends yell at me for using correct punctuation, grammar, and spelling over instant messengers. One time I got smacked by my friend IRL for using a semicolon correctly.

Funny how I spot a few grammatical and spelling errors in your post - not to mention it's a wall of text.

PROTIP: If you're going to flame a group of people for doing something, make certain you don't do it yourself within your own flame.

First off Raivyn, no one is perfect. He can flame anyone for anything he wants, if he screws it up he's giving others material to get him with. I think his point is that you shouldn't use cheap short-cuts to avoid typing one extra letter, instead of the occasion spelling mistake that is bound to happen in any post that isn't reread several times.

I never cared about spelling, and then there were all these god damn flames about having good punctuation, grammar etc, but they've had a sub-concious effect. In game, I completely agree. To hell with spelling! We're in rush to wait for an invite.... and... well, searching the Ah is a tough job to do right? No time to waste!

On the boards though, take 30s to at least SPACE your text. Its so much easier to read. Then again, I'm sure no one cares when I say this cause because the majority of the posts so far sound like they come from some who's 12 (maybe ~14 because of your pathetic arguements).

Found it sort of strange you would make such a big deal out of spelling, but not try to paragraph your text. Its just one big ugly blob.

Sure Kurosan, they have the freedom to type whatever they want. They just look like lazy, immature people who fail at their own language. Meaning that most likely I'll either just skip reading their trash, or read it and not care about what they say.

You never passed the third grade did you? Well, with this kind of amazing typing I think I can predict your future job already... Hmmmm, maybe you can be a gilseller. No one cares how well they spell. All you have to do is be able to have the co-ordination to click a mouse and mash on the keyboard. Which is what your typing looks like.

I feel your pain Mortanius. I tried to use all the proper grammar etc.. with someone online and they just laughed at me. So now I just screw typing decently when in games.

I'm sure someone will flame what I said, and written like a 6 year old too. I don't really care overall because I'll just skip your stuff and I like to laugh at supposedly educated people look like retards. Bring it on ya bunch of grammar gimps!

FYI: My typing is not perfect... I know it's probably hard for you to believe cause I'm so sexy and awsome, but I'm only human. I don't care if theres an "a" instead of an "e" or some crap because of the speed at which I was typing, so don't tell me about it. If you find one, go get a paper hat and have some beer, it can be your own private little victory.
