please think before you call someone a gil buyer

I agree partially with what you say. players get jealous of other peoples equipment and want equally good equipment and sometimes buy gil to get it. but i found this incorrect for two reasons. The first is that ranger used to be expected to have really good equipment, but then after the rush of noob rangers (and the huge price inflation of everything) people don't expect rangers to have anything much more than arrows (because that is all too frequently all they do have). I am not saying this applies to all rangers as i know some have worked their asses off getting good equipment, but that is not all of them. The second problem with that is that most people find party members by /sea all. this gives no indication of what their gear is like and i doubt anyone would be petty enough to kick someone for having average gear (maybe completely awful gear but not average). I have found that people (including myself) seem more focused on trying to find people that actually are good at their damn jobs than they are on what they are wearing. good gear is nice but not completely necessary, doing your job well is necessary but people seem to ignore that hoping their "l33t" gear will make up for the fact that they suck.

Thats my 2 cents ^^

To give you a little more prespective. This was said to Meeze, he's like the biggest advocate for leet gear next to Vang.

Not that theres anything wrong with that, just so you know why it was said.

What's the point of playing the game to aquire items when you can just buy them with real money >.<; that's lame.

. . .

let it fucking die.
"so-and-so buy's gil"
"so-and-so doesnt buy gil"
blah, blah, blah

Lets say he/she doesnt. Lets say he worked his ass off for his or her gil, and deserves every bit of it so he can rub it in all your faces and you are flaming for no reason.

Lets say he/she does. There is not a damn thing in this world that is gonna stop him/her, and not a damn thing you can do about it but whine and cry.

**side note**
i mean no offence on a personal level, it just seems this thread is a monumental waste of time.

 If you buy gil for this game then you are just another crappy, loser player.
All of you are cheaters that are are either so worried about looking gimp(insecurity issues) or your just an egotistical person that is consumed with trying to be the best.

And most of you gil-buyers have the nerve to complain about gil-sellers(prolly just a cover to keep people from thinking you buy gil). If you get angry at this post you are prolly guilty of buying and don't want to own up that you do.

The people in this forum that have been called gil-buyers is because your probably being watched and people can easily tell if you buy gil or not. Why does it matter? What happens when you do buy gil? The AH prices sky-rocket...then you get mad because of it...I hear it all the damn time in Jeuno. In doing this you make the honest players frustrated...and we have to sit back and wonder why we keep playing. Get over trying to be the best if that is what you strive for...or to look cool because you bought some outrageously expensive item.

That high wears off I am sure...people that EARN their equipment cheerish what they have more because we worked our butt off for it. One person in one of the old LS's that I was in said he didn't even want to play most days because he had no gil and maxed out his credit card on the game...guess he couldn't buy food. What a loser! Pathetic...and that is what you gil-buyers are...pathetic cheaters. Would it kill you to try and be honest players...it takes alot of time to do this...but I am sure you will survive.

I mean some-one in this forum has to agree with me on this. Others will attack me because I hit a soft spot and they know they are guilty and will defend these losers. Thank you for listening...someone has to say something and defend the silent ones.

My gear seriously sucks, but am I worried about it? not at all. Im 64 rdm with only 2 Afs, boots and hat, does that mean I suck at refreshing? enfebling? No it does not. Elite gear does NOT make you a better player IMO. no matter how much +1 shit you have, if you cant voke/heal/SC/nuke +1 will not help. And if you buy gear, you are stupid. Lets say that you bought $400 worth of gil, 100m gil for example. What if SE decided to pull the plug on the game tomorrow? now what? Thats $400 REAL LIFE MONEY wasted, gone. I would lose about 400k gil, but thats not real. buy yourselve something nice with that money. Hell if you are a loser who cant get laid, intstead of enlarging your e-penis, concetrate on your real one.

No one has ever kicked me from PT^^ I have a black coterhai though. I know my gear sucks, but right now I dont mind much. If I dont ghet my PT killed and my enfebs stick, then whats the problem? I use food and have a ebony wand that gives MND+

If you farm and make gil the way you are supposed to then farming would be the first way that you can do this...and if you did farm you for gil you would never have to join a skill-up party because your weapons would be maxed from all the time you put in to farming. Then if you put all your money in crafting...it would take you a little while to farm enough gil for this but eventually you would get high enough where you could make alot of gil from crafting...but unless you have lvled THF then you would still have to farm alot...and at the same time raising skills.

So I guess skill-up parties are a sure sign that someone buys gil."

gotta be the dumbest thing i ever read.

I actually have to agree with Meeze here. What kind of conclusion is that?[/quote]

I understand if some people don't understand the way I think. In this I have learned that most people take sides with people that are veterans in this website.

But it is ok to be that way...or what I said makes no sense to some of you. The closer I get to trying to bug out gil-buyers the more tension I recieve from people...but in RL that is the way most situations are as well. The gil-buying days will come to and end!

But thank you for your opinons they only help me root out more gil-buyers by giving me ways of improving my theory's.

 Gil-buyers are nothing but pathetic cheaters with no real gaming skills!

Man I'm going to feel like such an idiot, when meeze and PG post those pics of the 32 mules.......

Weapons of low skill only skill up on mobs that are even match or higher to the skill and I don't know about you, but at 72 I'd rather NOT be fighting EM+ mobs to make gil solo. With that said, your statement makes no sense.

I forgot to add that Kon, you really need to drop this. If you do happen to prove they buy gil, would that accomplish ANYTHING? If it's going to help you sleep at night, go ahead but in a few years you'll be looking back at this saying "Why the fuck did I even bother?".

I didnt make the Topic. Partygirl did. It really doesnt even bother me that they buy gil. I think I heard the statics are that 50% of all players have bought gil, so I'm sure I have a few friends that are gil buyers. That doesnt bother me one bit, its the liars and Ethugs who cant admit it cause they are too scared that bother me.
