Having hacks never skewed my judgement of the game, nor did it ever alter any of my opinions about the game, and of the people who play. I respect those that play legitimately, I respect those who don't (if you're not a douche bag, or a gil seller)
I guess it does make me sorta like a douche bag, to want to play a game that would normally be engineered for a party, as a solo act. Yep it was selfish. I don't really have an arguement to this, the best I could come up with is that I mainly play on japanese times, and during true EU times I have events to go to, but I know if I said that, it'd get eaten up and spat back in my face as an insult. Wait...
Question as to how I got my hacks? You lurk enough seedy ass forums and you'll get what you're looking for, but it's hardly fun, and you're gonna have to dig deep if you're looking for real treasure. And hey, the juice isn't really worth the squeeze, since look what I got, a ruined reputation and a 72 suspension.
Do I buy gil? No. BCNMs with friends, farming and just scraping together funds by whatever means possible gets me by.
Will I continue to use the windower? Heck yes, I don't wanna have to crash my game or log out just to find a simple bit of information about the game I play, nor do I want to have to use my instant messenger as an answer machine to my friends. The windower is the only thing, for me atleast, that makes this game actually playable, without it I wouldn't still be here.
Your thoughts on removing my moderator status are justified, sure, given the new light on my current standings within game, but do you think I was any worse of a person before you knew the cold hard facts? I don't wanna sound cocky, but I'm not exactly the only/first person to use hacks. I'm not going to justify me using them, I knew what risks I was taking using them, just like you all know, somewhere in the back of your mind when you first booted up FFXI using the windower.
I would truely relish the chance to spend more time behind the scenes here at QCDN, which is a pretty hard thing to say when you take into account that most of the mod team's time is spent deleting spam, and I would like to continue posting here.
Sorry for not being around to post my retorts, I figured I'd go talk with my mum for a while and not post on here while the situation escalates, I don't really have much of an arguement to put up (that would vex even the most seasoned poster) so I'd end up just hating myself more and more and regretting every moment of using the hacks. I'm off to bed, please pick out whatever you see necessary from my post and chip away with the iron pick of righteousness, I'll review in the morning.
