No, they just basically said 'Use it at your own risk'.

Yes, this and battle music is better than sound crapping out in Mt Zayolm's Flan camp. Sometimes you stop hearing the sound of you spells and it's annoying. At least you will have the battle music.
I really like the music CoP+. Zilart's music is iffy, and the original game's music is pretty shitty with a couple exceptions (Heaven's Tower <3)People still play FFXI with sounds enabled?
I muted all sounds. Although occasionally I can play with sound effects, but never music. Unless I'm in a new area, or an area where I like the music, or a CS. Those are the few exceptions when I have music enabled.
also to add that when SE released their own windower that it'd take awhile to implement all the features that the 3rd party one has because they don't know how to atm(lol).
Garvin's correct. SE never said they don't know how to add them. They simply said they couldn't find a good way TO implement it with the current UI.They never said this.
They said they wanted to add one or two more of the reuse timers, but couldn't find a way to integrate it with the UI, if I recall correctly. If anything, it's probably a PS2-related issue, always is.
They're probably never going to implement "all" of the features of windower, since a decent number of them are cheats, and not what was intended.
Oh, and stop calling it a "windower". It always bothers me when someone says "SE windower"... it's just a windowed mode.
No you wont. You need someone engaged onto the mob to get the music, and I dont think you're gonna engage on blm.
That's not what they said. They stated that you will get the music even if not engaged.

These adjustments should allow battle music to play if you are within the vicinity of a party member currently engaged with an enemy, even if you yourself have not executed the "attack" command. This way, even those who play with long range attack characters such as mages, will not have to miss out on an essential atmospheric element in the game. While it may not be possible to account for all scenarios, due to the nearly limitless ways in which battles can be initiated; we believe this will improve things significantly.

Don't you love how misleading SE's updates tend to be? Get you hopes up and they are dashed in an instant?
Good job SquareEnix.
