Why is this significant? Its the first time SE has said something OTHER than its our own fault we got hacked. This is a "Whoops, maybe you didn't go around emailing your login to RMT companies while drunk one day."

Is it possible for PS2 and 360 users to be hacked also? I don't really know a whole lot about IP addresses and things of that nature. Just wondering if this is only a problem for PC users or if everyone is in danger?

those guys are safe for now but the lscommunity thing by SE has never been very secure and uses the same password you use for ffxi so avoid that and you're golden.

SE should have a set of passwords for changing account info separate from your logins to the game, so even if someone stole your logins, they couldn't change your CC, and take your account.

That or security questions that rotate so even if they stole the first answer they would get a new question when they logged in to change the acct info.

Or a password that you can call in and give to have your account frozen immediately if you're account is stolen, just something separate from what you use to log into the game with.

Banning IP addresses based on region is not smart. There are legitimate non-Japanese players from China, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, ect; who are playing this game. If they know how to keylog passwords, they will know how to get around IP blocks. Wish there was some good game specific protection program. Someone get programming!
