"cannot be obtained anywhere else in Vana'diel." is the part I was getting at that makes the wording lead away from Kings Abjs.

Yeah? So? They have a picture of one of the Custard NMs from Nyzul. They don't drop anything in Nyzul. Maybe they'll drop something there, thus allowing people to obtain items that aren't found anywhere else?

It's pretty sickening when they finally say they're going to put in an alternate way, and people cry that they aren't going to because of wording that they take as an absolute that you can only find previously unobtainable items.

Look at Nyzul. It has items you can't get anywhere else. But it also has items you can find all over the place, assuming you get correct appraisals.

30 minute time limit to kill some mobs. So.... it's Assault v2 then? Okay.

More or less, just with potential for superior rewards most likely.

I suspect SE learned their lesson with Dynamis regarding content that takes 4 hours to complete a single session.

As an aside, does anyone else feel like that custard is staring into their souls?

Anyone else getting tired of assault-like point systems?
I like it. I think it's a very handy resource for when you're low on cash, go check your CP / ISP / AP to see what you have banked up. Buy items, flog, repeat. Pulled me out of a few financial ruts.

They said that the middle area holds the secret deep within hazhalm. They also said that abjurations will still be annoying to obtain.

Anyone else think you'll have to beat all 12 rooms in order to get access to the 13th middle room, and the middle room drops X ammount of abjurations from the boss?

And you have to do it in one sitting, so 6hrs of play to reach the last room

Naw, 30 min each time. So 6 hours total, but not in 1 sitting.

I'm guessing the cool down will be 1 day like everything else ToAU related. You'll most likely have to buy the "hourglass" for 10 or 20 gold pieces. Probably 10 of them since they want to decrease the cost of end-game events.

No, I was joking that SE would probably make it so you have to do it all at once, since everyones like "OH GREAT ONLY 30 MINS!" and then SE goes and screws us.

PS I know it says "reserve ONE of the MULTIPLE rooms in the OP".

just add a PVP button to the menu SE comeon now, it can't be harder than pulling more stuff out of the arse

SE wont add pvp to this game ... this game is very much base on PVE to begain with , unlike WoW which its base on pvp

i would like to see 36 black mages go in there and tear up each room in less than 10 min a room that would be the shit

Logically, S-E would have mobs of various resistances in this thing to prevent exactly this from happening. S-E isn't always logical though.

This sounds sortof fun, but if it's one room per day, thats one "big room" fight per 12 runs...I could see this being pretty difficult to setup, since doing it less than bi-weekly would take forever and anything less may be too often for people to show on a consistant basis. =/

Regarding manaburning rooms or not...it seems likely that BLMs can do that. I mean rooms having randomly generated mobs - they might have some strong to magic, but if none of that kind are generated, the rest go down easy. And if ALL are strong to magic, then some jobs are screwed out of being any use, which isn't what SE is intending to do.
