lol Im sorry but dont be so thick-headed... They have other terms that fit windower just fine.

i.e. It IS a third party tool.
i.e. It DOES give an unfair advantage over players. (Not everyone has the means to look up map/area/mob info while playing)

Two big reasons right there "hmmm"

we're not getting into a debate here about windower again, but they are usually pretty precise about why they ban/remove people in these bulletins, and they specifically stated what 3rd party users were targeted.

and not everyone has means to look up maps/quests/missions? please. 95% of the world that plays online games has at least a PC, and most people that can afford a PS2 or XBOX also have a PC, which does the same thing as windower. dont be so blind.

I play on pc, if I didnt use windower I couldnt do that. All agreements do remain in effect, whether stated or not. Im just sayin, because it pretty much seems like youre accusing me of using some other tool

User Agreement Violators Terminated (Dec. 20)



Today, a number of accounts which were confirmed to have violated the user agreement by using unauthorized third-party software tools within FINAL FANTASY XI to enable abnormal in-game movement were discovered and have been suspended or permanently terminated.

Based on the results of our investigation, over 7,450 PlayOnline accounts were terminated while over 250 accounts were temporarily suspended indefinitely.

The breakdown for the suspensions is as follows:

- Accounts confirmed using third party tools to illegally move their characters:
400 cases

- Accounts confirmed using third party tools to give an unfair advantage over other
players in order to get claim on Notorious Monsters.
4400 cases

- Accounts confirmed using illegal means to obtain items
100 cases

- Accounts from people that were previously confirmed to have RMT connections, or that had violated the user agreements but re-subscribed to PlayOnline.
2800 cases

Temporarily is a fixed amount; no matter the amount.
Indefinitely is an unlimited amount.

I'm just tired of people making false accusations...Windower or not, I doubt they will give him more than a reason of breaking their policies.
 
lolwalkuremask. I guess those are gonna drop down to like 10k now, which in turn will drop valkyrie mask down to like 20k since no one will pay more for it.

I got 1600~ seals ready. But is it worth getting one ... ? All the other drops from this BCNM will severely devalue in price (not much to begin with either). I wondered this too. Once my BST gets to 74, I'll probably go /NIN a lot more and it might be nice to have a K. Club in the off hand. But then again, anything I write "nice to have" next to, is probably more of a desire than anything else. :D
 
Man cracking down on windower would blow, It's nice to be able to do other things when XI is running. I agree that its an open window (pun...INTENDED LOL AHHAH) to hacks and things. They do need to give us some sort of legit way to access our desktop. Even if they got rid of the 30 second log out while in town or something...Not like you're going to get attacked there.

That countdown is brutal and pointless would make the use of windower a little (just a little) less appealing.

I have two PC's close together so I guess I'll start making use of that.

I had been waiting years for them to add a legit windower.

Instead of risking another perma ban I bought a 360 a few weeks ago. Finally up and running. Also running on HDTV, looks really good.

Way better than PC, I had absolutly no lag in Dynamis-Xarc...Plus I have a PC right next to me.

That club should be DRK only. Yeah it's amazing, but you'll lose that "omg this weapon is insane" feeling after a week or so :)

It was a lot of fun to be able to solo EM-Toughs with the 2 hour. Especially on Pots, nothing like seeing relentless 200+ and 250-300+ crits.

I went back and messed around with Maat, just for fun. Set the record at below 20 seconds. (Flee > Souleater > Bloodweapon)

It's fun don't get me wrong^^
 
Lol they always say exactly what they are banning for.

If they start banning for WINDOWER they will let you know. They are not going to ninja ban people for WINDOWER and call it flee tooling. They are going to make examples, and say, you see these poor bastards? The fuckers used windower they are banned, no more windower for you. The people who claim to be only using windower and get suspended and or banned are liars.
 
I wonder if they in theory did start banning people for windower, how many people would need to be banned before people stopped using windower instead of saying the banned people are liars and used other programs. Not saying this guy did or didn't get banned for windower, cause who the hell knows, but since so many people are sure he didn't, I wonder how long it would take to convince them if it was happening regularly.
