They don't want you to sell it to a asshat who's not gonna do the same imo being a ass etc.
Alot of ppl who i hav met threw this account for one
1. KNOW I AM A NICE PERSON
2. I AM WILLING TO HELP ANYTIME

he should just cancel the account and let it die.
he doesnt want the account, the original owner doesnt want the account, neither of them deserve it.
if the original owner wants to play ff, he can start a new character.
either way you look at it..he dont have the right to do anything to the account. how would you like it if i took your account delete your char and let it die then ask you to start over cause you dont deserve it?? and what do you mean i dont derserve it its my char i worked for it even if i wanted to sell it thats my decision and now i really not in the mood to talk about that.
First off: you played for it, if you consider a video game work you fail at life and should go get hit by a bus.
Second: Meeze isn't dumb enough to give someone his/her(? never thoguht to ask) account info.
Third: You're absolutely dense if you think: A.) your local law enforcement agency will know let alone give a shit what you're talking about. B.) SE gives a shit what you're talking about, they're getting their money.
Fourth: You gave it up as soon as you gave out your info or decided to sell it. I s'pose if you gave up a puppy to the shelter then had a change of heart only to find it was euthanized before you returned you'd attempt to sue the pound? You might want to know something about the law before making threats with it.
This whole situation is juvenile, ignorant, and pathetic. I voted no, and i stand by it, there's enough stupid people on the server as is.
Moch said:oh and account stealing, i.e. unauthorized use of an account, is a form of phishing, which is also punishable by law. WHY? because he is using the real Kagomei's credit card to enjoy an online activity.... if anyone's old enough to remember AOL 3.0 and below, and <><, u'd know what i mean.

Wrong Moch, the reason she can't get her account back is because he changed the credit card info to his own so when she calls SE she can't give the current credit card info being used. So he is playing on his own dollar. See her earlier post for more info. I voted no, this account was not stolen, saying it is, is a fabrication. THE ACCOUNT INFORMATION WAS GIVEN TO THIS PERSON. Why would you ever give account information? Something cannot be stolen that is given away. Meeze and Mokk hit nail on the head. The account is unwanted by it's original owner, so why should it be returned? So she can make a buck off of it?

I do have to claim total ignorance in that specific case but were they attempting to resell there aol account to a third party for profit? Were they being charged for someone else using their account? were these phishers fraudulantly soliciting there accounts?

lol its actually hard for me to argue with you since part of me agrees with most of what you have said in the thread XD
But the fact remains, the real owner of Kagomei did not authorize the payment changes on the account.
