Bajaratt said:I'd rather everyone have good gear than wear any shit they want and claim it's good. Since you're apparently too stupid(thanks for proving that point btw) to bother to do a search, here is the thread on hauby > osode. IT took me 10 seconds to find it, wow that sure was hard. There has been a ton of parses on the subject, you'd have to be stupid to draw a conclusion based on a single test; the fact that you're not even trying to find them doesn't mean they don't exist nor does it remove their benefit to the game. Also, don't forget this has information too.
This is all common knowledge at this point, the fact that you are too lazy/stupid to spend the few seconds it takes to find it just undermines your position.
A gear that you would not know was better(not saying it is) and many still don't know (if it is), if there was no parser. There a deferents from gimped, normal, and elitist. You confusing normal with elitist.Neosquall said:Old news. These scrub bandwagoners need to get a parser and see how much they suck.
Did he equip odose then lets say for hypothetical example switch the forgers for that 30 atk back piece? Or maybe gone with potent belt instead of werewolf? Also what nin would use harby? -20 eva there trying to avoid getting hit(excluding ws) in which case odose is clearly better which even that link said. Also That thread you linked most it was about brds and charm for some odd reason. Secondly most it mainly harby is better odose and that 10str dex is not as good as 5str dex and 10 acc/atk which may or may not be true, but it hell lot easier to find atk/acc items then it is to find str items. Thing like this is exactly what make parser a cheating program.
A computer application, password, or disallowed technique used to advance to a higher skill level in a computer video game.
In advantage that you did not work for or achieve, You allowing and illegal program to do all the problem solving for you thus giving you personal gain. Yet you still wrong because you did not try different setups. You can not just change the body and say ok this one has this stat so it must be better. What ironic is that this argument is alot like that of the errant vs crimson and the errant vs odose.
D&D all the information is out there in front of you in ffxi it is not. There many hidden factors like acc. Research (don't make me laugh) no researching would be doing the test yourself not using a program or others faulty parser results to figure it out. It not a open book. I would love to see people actually try write all that information down, I really would. It not open book it never has been. Yes bit and pieces are there, but the odose vs harby argument proved it not open book. I was not going argue but you continue to deny the cold hard facts.RoM said:The reason the parser exists is so you don't have to do it by hand, period. The parser doesn't give a crap what you have on and neither did the programmer, it's simply a tool. Hate to break this to you but D&D > FFXI on mathematical complexity and it's a hell of a lot more random. The idea behind the parser is to find what works best for you with hard data to get behind it, much like you would with pen and paper on say ... D&D. It's called research (i hear an echo). Seriously, you're embrassing yourself. Just give it up, wether you agree or not is not the issue there's really no way to argue your point. What you're basicly doing is accusing people of cheating on an open book test.
What happened to not making the argument? Thought you pulled out of this a couple pages back.
