Why do people post in the ToD thread with the stupid little shit like they have been in the last couple of days. Is it because you don't know how to camp any real NMs? So you post stupid things like SS and BB in it. Or do you truly believe that getting SS is hard, do you want a Beestinger, I have 4 of them. Maybe you'd like a plant reaper, or a Steam scale mail?? Can I help you out? How about this, post real ToDs that matter or just stay out of the thread.
 
How about because the whole concept of the thread is a joke?

Edit: this should have been started on the flameboard. Even your OP is full of inflaminatory rhetoric, you're just asking to be flamed for this.

You know that "Post real ToDs Thats matter" part just shows how lazy you are. If you cared enough to bitch about people posting other NMs ToDs then maybe just maybe you should um.... i don't know go camp it with out a ToD. And for the love of everything that is holy stop bitching about QCDN, all i've seen you use it for is to put down other players and get ToDs.
 
Are you ever going to say anything that's true or just spout off assertions every time you post? Yes, it's my opinion that the whole thread is stupid, and obviously there are others who agree with me since they're the ones posting the joke ToD's in it. If you can't see you're asking for flaming responses you're blind. Opinions aren't facts, and you don't even bother coming up with any proof for anything you post to make them facts, so your posts aren't even at the level of opinions.

Actually I posted a few ToDs in there that were ment to help out the players that want the thing that they drop. People always ask me where I got my shield for BLM. Well if someone used the ToD for Warmonger and got the drop then they should of posted their ToD to help out the next guy. All this Stinging Sophie and Bubbling shit is retarted though. Besides I go and camp NMs all the time. There is always a new guy I want to kill and if I'm not leveling or farming for alchemy then I'll be sitting somewhere with my finger on the steal macro. Chances are that if it is a spawn greater than 15 hours I'll post it in the ToD thread.

Mods can I have this thread locked please because I wasn't intending to flame people in this. My intent was to get people to take the ToD thread seriously, and I feel that the only reason this thread was moved here was because of personal feeling towards myself, and not the contents of the thread.

I won't turn this into some huge flame cause it's so stupid. If you don't like the thread, get the fuck out of it. No one gives a damn what you think of it.
The thread is for ToD's of NM's. I personally see no use for it as it's easy as hell to get a ToD. Some people can't run their system nonstop overnight or while at work, or only get a few hours a day.
The "too lazy" shit is getting old. It's okay to spend 6 hours LFP, then farm for 8 hours for a few hundred thousand gil, then sit and do nothing fore MORE to get a Tod? I don't think everyone is blessed with your saintly patience.
If you don't like it, boycott it. Stop bitching about it and shut up.
 
Some people actually want to know the ToD's for those mobs, its not just a UBERDROPZOMGFTGS thread. Think about it. And for the lower levels, those mobs are good to get NM exp on, not to mention some of them drop mediocre quality items, that sell. Thats gil that you didn't make if you had not got the NM. Consider it common courtesy...

You wrote the OP like a flame, but you didn't want to flame people, get serious. Even if you wrote the OP differently so as to not be inflammatory, it would have been moved here anyways because of the topic itself, anyone can see that. People didn't take the ToD thread seriously and posted ToD's to joke/popped NM's, who cares? If you really need that thread to be able to camp an NM, you can sift through the crap ToD's for the real ones, otherwise XI is obviously too much work for you and you shouldn't be playing it let alone expect to camp NM's.
 
Since when is a game you play for enjoyment supposed to be "work"? If you don't enjoy it don't play. If you wish to find a way around so you do within the rules, (no bots/hacks/etc) do so. Period.
People play a game to have fun, not be told what to do by people with a god complex.

There's no god complex, but someone who puts almost no effort into something shouldn't expect to do as well as someone who puts a good deal of effort into something. That's not just the game, that's life, period. If you don't have the time to camp NM's, then a ToD thread is meaningless. If you don't want to put some effort into camping NM's, then you won't camp because of the ToD posted in the thread. You can't expect to get everything you want without putting even the smallest amount of effort into getting it. That's not even considering how disrespectful you're being to the other campers.

Waiting is a fact of life in this game, you wait for exp invites, you wait for an event to start, you wait for hnm's to pop. If you can't handle waiting at all, then sadly XI is not the game for you. That's not arrogance, that's not a god complex, that's not "opinion is fact" bullshit, that's common sense. If you can't play long enough to get anything done, maybe you shouldn't play.
 
I forgot to say that to get just about all of the good gear in this game requires some form of work. Farming, camping NM's, killing gods, doing dynamis, some kind of effort is required; you don't just get that stuff handed to you when you hit XX level. It's definitely important to have fun while you play the game, but especially in endgame, some work is required. That doesn't stop people from having fun while they work and people enjoy the effort required for endgame, so "only wanting to have fun" isn't an excuse, it's just a excuse for being lazy.
 
I don't feel it's a joke, more of a resource for all the people that don't have 25 hours a day to play FFXI. Ok so there might of been a little bit of an unfavorable overtone to my first post, but in all honesty I didn't intend this to be a flameboard thread.

Other.. those are all lottery spawns and the only way to get them is to kill placeholders. Most of them will spawn every hour to 3 hours. Therefore no need to post a ToD on them.

Bajaratt.. Even in your post about not having a god complex you're telling people that they shouldn't play if they can't devote thier life to it, and how is it disreaspectful to other campers? You always state your opinions as though they are fact, and most of the time I think you have no idea what you are even talking about. I always think of the time that you said that as a MNK you had some absurdly low DEF, and you never had a problem with it, and my bro turns to me and says "That's a stupid bitch if she thinks that a Mithra MNK and a Hume SAM can be played the same way". So again go autoattack somewhere else.

Rhyan...That's just where I farm Beehive chips and honey and I run into her alot. Send it to a mule and forget about it until I can't obtain anymore, then sell them all.

/sigh ok look Baj said nothing about devoting ones life to the game. he(she) said that if one wants it they must earn it, not going "Hmmm. which NM gives the must gil/best money thats about to pop." If you want the damn ToD go get it yourself. Sure i agree with the part of helping people out but there is a line.

Helping someone is camping an NM with them, giving them tips on camping, and so on. NOt going "here learn nothing about EARNING anything and go spoil peoples hard work who spent hours/days camping it with out a ToD" If you spend hours camping even the most expensive piece of gear then you earned it, if you got a ToD and spent 10 min there then you didn't earn it. so shut up and stop bitching about lottery spawn NMs ToDs.
