...so I have a question.

Hopefully one of you has the answer.

Why are some of my posts being deleted? Am I raining on someone's parade when I make a joke here and there? I mean I thought this was just a public discussion board...and instead I've been filtered.

What gives? Who's the Nazi? Show yourself...douchebag.

Well then whoever the cocksmoker is that's deleting my posts...they can just move this thread since they enjoy fucking around with my shit.

P.S...I'm only being rude until that person identifies themselves and gives me a solid reason as to why my posts are being deleted.
 
Hahah ahhh. So I need to learn you better. Some posts are deleted because they're completely off-topic and really don't serve a purpose. Honestly Charlie take a look-see at the rules of engagement lol.

The Staff try to keep the discussions going in the same relative direction rather than letting everyone go nuts with random off-topic posts because that usually just results in lost subject matter (for lack of a better term).

So although you and I particularily will like throwing comments back and forth and so on, there are better places on the board to do so. SG's are obviously the best place.

Your posts aren't being deleted, they're being unapproved.

Not that it really is your business, but I'm unapproving them. They'll stay unapproved until they've been reviewed by staff and deemed fit to be restored for the viewing pleasure of the public.

I may not be able to, but if that's a threat of "hey, I'm going to make as many retarded posts as possible in as little time as possible", the fact of the matter is that we won't *need* to keep up with you.

Please check your PMs. You will find PMs from at least two different staff members explaining what happened.

In the future, please check the Site FAQ's, Site Guidelines, and Flameboard Guidelines before a SAF post. Your questions about your missing posts are answered there.

Furthermore, please refrain from threats or other griefing of staff members. Those things are against the rules and are swiftly dealt with.
 
The Flameboard is not FOR trolling, but you CAN be a dick there if you must be a dick! It's the perfect place, however, like I said to you before if you can't realyl follow the subject matter, it's more appropriate to flame / disagree / insult those based on the quality of their posts (lack of common sense etc) but you can't just troll right.

Trist and any other mod will continue to delete your posts and you may find you get banned from that thread or boards for a duration of time.

So my BEST suggestion is to try to keep on-topic.
 
We sincerely hope you do. We do, however, expect that you'll enjoy them within the bounds of the site rules and guidelines.
 
Alright Morchee, I understand...I just think it's stupid that the Flameboard is just a place for a bunch of social rejects to spy on people and expose them because they have nothing better to do with their own time...and yet I can't make a harmless joke? It wasn't off topic...it was about fishbotting. Really. Just because I couldn't give a fuck less who's cheating in video games...doesn't mean I should be denied the ability to make a fucking joke.

Heh heard that more times than you'd believe my dear.

The Flameboard is to warn players about cocksmokers (or potential cocksmokers) who would otherwise screw them over in game, and with FFXI it's a REAL bitch trust me. So yeah, especially those that act high and mighty, the flameboard CAN be epic disaster for joke players. You'll eventually see.

You can make jokes, it's pretty much a case by case as far as I've seen. These guys are lieniant (no spellcheck here so bite me) but everything has it's pointbreak.

Secondly...I just think that's dumb. You create more problems than solve...especially when the joke was harmless. If I had gone in there like..."THREADMAKER I FUCKED YOUR HANDICAPPED SISTER LAST NIGHT AND SHE MOTORBOAT'D MY BALLS LIKE A CHAMP!"...

...then I can understand a delete...as it's warranted and I'm clearly just being a douchebag. But a harmless joke about fishbotting being deleted? That's WAY too fucking strict. I mean especially considering the fact people are throwing insults around on that forum and I get canned for a fucking little joke?

I'm very sorry if you don't like the guidelines that are in place. However, they are the guidelines that are currently in place, and they are enforced. So please familiarize yourself with them and adhere to them.

You'll hear it a few times maybe, but this site isn't subject to America's free speech rules. We have our own rules and boundries and we do expect our users to follow them.

I'm not going to say much more since I'm happily enjoying being a vB editor instead of Admin so I don't deal with punishments unless it's something that needs to be dealt with ASAP with no other green or reds on. I did send you a PM too regarding the issue and while you may think it's crap, it's the rules.

In the past, flames were constantly moved off topic to 5-10 pages of gibberish between two people and lots of users felt it took away from the real flame. People have tried to get the moderation changed there but the mods/admins seem to stand by their policy.
 
Has nothing to do about taking video games seriously. It has to do with people being stupid and spamming off topic crap. And not to be a dick but if you have a problem with the rules the log out button is at the top of the page.
