Well, it's been a really long while. I've been away from QCDN and the internet for the most
part for almost half a year now. Away from FFXI for just under a year, and I do sincerely apologize for my sudden absence without much word to anyone, it was unexpected. My life's been crazy, and I'm finally settling into my own. I signed the lease to my first apartment on the 23rd, and have been holding a steady job since August.

There are a lot of things that I miss, people, places and things I've left behind, and I'm doing my best to move on. Coming to Philly over a year ago was the best thing that's ever happened to me. I was thrown into an environment totally different from what I was used to, and I was forced to change. Dealing with being homeless at one time or another changed my perspective on things, and showed me what's really important. Now, I'm not dependant on anyone. I'm working towards making my job, a career, and putting away money for the future.I still have a lot of sour memories that make my heart ache, or make me angry, but I try to look past them. Some of them revolve around here, things said or done; or my family, friends, and people I've left behind.

I'm not where I want to be yet, but I'm getting there, I'm far from the person I was a year ago, and although there are things I'd like to forget, I can't. Without that, I wouldn't be where I am now.

I find homeless days to have been some of the best days of my life as you don't really have any worries aside from the fact "how am I going to make it until tomorrow?"

I wish you good luck in your process of attaining the life you desire.

Good to hear you're doing better.

I'm really glad you are doing better Lyrai. Even though the last time we spoke wasn't the best of conversations we had, I've been a bit worried about you. DW told me he spoke to you once or twice, so I was happy that you were still around a bit and now I'm glad to hear you are doing a lot better. Hope we can become friends again and hope your life gets better and better as the progession goes on.

Much love, JP!

Glad to know things are shaping up Lyrai. Keep in touch if you need anything else, its what friends are for right? Hope those pots came in handy =P

Love my job.

Juvenile Sun Conure, it's the sweetest thing.

I have a firm belief that we end up getting what we literally ask for. If you look at the people in your work place. You'll find connections that can bring you closer to your greater goals. There will be drama with some of them, which is not really a bad thing.

Without negative there can be no positive opposite. Stay where you are, continue to do well while and collect what negative energy you can from the workplace (weather you want to believe it or not, it's there, and it's really fuel). When you get to balance the scale. You'll find the positive will match the negativity you've been coping with.

All you need to do is look at what you've been through in the past and see how it got you to where you are today. You may already understand how drama paves the way for desired transformations. Taking that into deep consideration, you'll release a vibe to others that you have expectations. And from that, life will not be so random. The people you need in order to advance are the ones who carry the abilities to fall through with your plans. What you are to them is really up to you. If you act, they will give you the keys to the next step, which in actuality, are the keys to your dreams.

Positive and Negative. One cannot be without the other. It's natures way in all things that function. Magnetism, DNA, what is needed, and what is too much or too little at the right or wrong time, that is what defines the outcome for all things. Fortunately for us we can take advantage of that so long as one seeks out their goals.

Paying close mind to this. You'll stay cool when dramas occure, you may even accept it, cause it'll drive you closer to a higher change as you act correctly. And change is always good.

Well, just as things were looking up, I got a call today from my father saying my cat got hit by a car. I had to leave him with my father while my life was all over the place, and was going to get him after the new year, I hadn't seen my cat since March but I'm so heartbroken. It's the third cat I've lost from being hit by a car.

His name was Tweak. :/

=( im so sorry Lyrai, I am a total cat person and grew up with them, so i know how it feels, it really sucks.

Its hard to deal with losing a friend like that(yes a cat can be every bit of mans best friend a dog is =P)

all you can do is, feel good that you gave him/her a great home and great life, and look forward to giving another cat(or dog) the same opportunity. Cause there always one out there needing a loving home.

I'm sooooo sorry to hear that Lyrai.........I've lost pets (cats mainly) by them getting run over as well and it hurts so much. My cat should be having a new litter in the coming month or two, let me know if you want one.

What's really hard though, is tomorrow, I have to go to work. I deal with people's animals every day. We have an adoption center with just cats, and people bring their cats and dogs in all the time. I'm worried I won't be able to maintain my composure tomorrow.

I worked at the Philadelphia SPCA for a while doing the behind-the-doors stuff. My cat got sick, like, really sick, had a urinary thing, and was basically on his death bed when he was like, 10 months old.

He was in the hospital in the Clinic side of the shelter when my boss found me at the start of my lunch break. She told me to go to the Clinic. I got to talk with the doc about exactly how fucked my pet was, and because no one else was staffed at the time, I then got to take him from the clinic in his cage to the other side of the shelter to put him down. I got to throw him into the freezer when I was done.

Then I had to go back to work.

...Fuck that place so hard.

Sorry for your loss, Lyrai.

That sucks Lyrai. I'm sorry for your loss ; ;.

My family and I had a sun conure, she was the cutest bird! Her name was Maggie. She couldn't talk per say but made sounds that mimicked words. Sadly, my brothers dog killed her after we'd had her for 10 years :( She used to crawl inside your shirt at night and fall asleep lol
