Pros and Cons of Dragoon and Ninja

Here is a just made parse showing what i was saying concerning the importance of decent gear. my drg is going /nin on this essentially gimping my damage by probably around 25% in exchange for living through a fight. the cor is using a hunter's roll to give me acc i dont need and thusly boosting the weaker DD in this. The corsair was doing alot better earlier in the fight and outdding the war. My gear could be better but it can get alot worse. the war and nin in this had on balance rings ect(aka they were gimp). I even started slacking off and reading misc websites near the end of this.the war even ate sushi at the start.
They could have easily obtained almost +40 acc vs what they were wearing by spending 300k and if that's if you include woodsman rings as must haves( i do). if you cant afford the woodsman rings then getting the 100k for the rest of the gear(+30 acc) is still going to improve you tons. this might seem like alot at your low lv but if you consider how long it takes to get to lv 60 to begin with then obtaining that much gil to spend by then is actually quite easy.

I know this might sound like a dead horse but I dont want you to endup as one of those people that makes everyone cringe when you realize you're partying with them. The game can get alot less fun if nobody wishes to step foot near you. Drg already has troubles with invites (although you can solo faster than some of the parties that would invite you anyway with juices ect) and you dont need to make them worse. I dont want you to become the second "antdog" of this server. trust me. dont go near that guy. I t's quite possible that the only reason his war hit 75 was that enough people wanted to see just how bad he was and entertain themselves with the laughter that ensued when they saw him in action.

what Khajit said is sooo true, having gear is so important, regardless of what job you are.
I was in a party with a thief yesterday in Kuftal, we were fighting robber crabs. We were around level 51-52 so the lower end of fighting crabs.

Said Thief had no sniper rings, he was wearing the +3 vit +3 dex ring and the +3 agi +3 x ring.... forgot the names, someone please remind me lol. Anyways. He was eating kabobs too. Overalll he parsed 55% accuracy and the MNK in my group 65%. They were nice people but I sure wish they hit the mob more so we could kill them faster. I was TPing 2x faster than the THF, at times i could fit in 3 WS for his 1 by a fraction of a hair. :X

he didnt have PCC or Striders lol, i think he was wearing Elvaan RSE gloves and feet. heheh
It was pretty terrible yesterday, he was TPing soo slow we decided to screw the magic burst >.<.

Ah I forgot to answer your question from a few days ago about blue mage being overpowered....

Well I really don't know how to answer that since that's a general question, at low levels they solo incredibly well against tough mobs if you have shadows, later on it dwindles in solo capacity without shadows. Around 35 or so was when I realized I needed a bit more to solo tough mobs and some even matches.

It's like red mage but all the scales tipped upside down, rdm's solo ability is in defense and endurance with lots of enfeebling magic to keep it at bay. blue mage's ability is in offense with a limited scope of enfeeb magic and other assorted stuff.

Hard to answer your question really what do you mean when you ask about blue mage?

just wondering if they are able to solo really tough stuff without much problem.

Your mentality states that a person should lvl a second or a third job just because the linkshell may "benefit" from it, I'd rather have the person that has very good gear I.E. the well equipped DD only.

Let me ask you a question, if your linkshell had 2 applicants apply at the same time with 1 slot which would you choose. The generic DD w/ NIN lvled to 75, or a well geared DD w/ full homam etc etc. In respect to your comment earlier, there is no set parameters on what jobs you need. So you can accept any job.

I pity people that think a well geared DD doesn't take priority over a halfassed DD with a mediocre Tank job lvled.

I'm pretty new, and more of a reader than a poster (Just joined QCDN) but I have asked around and heard nothing but Integral being one of the most accomplished endgame shells on Quetz along with Kaizen, and some others.

I was just curious as to what shell you are in since I am assuming Lavi is in Integral by their sig and your constant bashing of what you think an endgame shell should have as far as a player, jobs etc.

They're accomplished yes, but Inter. have allegedly done so in questionable ways.

I have kept up with this thread thoroughly, I wouldn't bother even asking such a ridiculous question if I was not. I am informed about what is going on, and still curious as to what endgame shell you were in is all, I appreciate a hasty response.

I am not trying to argue, what shell are you in is all I wanted to know? Is this classified info of some sorts? :spiteful:

My points are valid, you don't like them? Don't read it. Not everyone can have an elitest attitude that bases their respect on people in game based on their job qualities rather than their overall game play. In my opinion DRG have good in game qualities that are respectable and have their uses in end game.
