ProTip: /nin sucks for most jobs

/NIN + RACC + Meat has been outperformed by my /WAR + RATK + STR + Sushi setup recently.

These lil guys were only VT @ lv58 and offered little exp, but jeez did I get a few good strokes tonight. Had the joy of partying with a COR and BRD too.

weak vs. pierce ftw?

Wonder how well RNG's will do in Caederva Mire eh?

2700 and some change is my best in mire been a while since exping there way to many people.

those are sick numbers for your level, hows your sidewinder acc after adjustment?

Before the adjustment I was at level 57. My highest was 937 Barrage, 1180 Sidewinder and 1210 EES.

wow i needa exp rng again then. I didnt know it was that nice lol... regardless anywhere near 2k dmg at your level is strait up broken lol.

That's cool then.. but imo.. /war, /nin, and /thf would be acceptable to me. I guess i'm just a guy who can take what they can get... probably from trying to make a lotta parties out of nothing. I dunno. If you know how to control your dmg as /war and not gain hate all the time.. then that's fine with me. If you don't know how or when to WS and you decide to go /nin.. more power to ya for trying to help out your healers. If you wanna go /thf because you like to sa/ta or etc... fine with me.

I guess when i started this game.. i've seen strange strange stuff... and this whole /nin stuff doesn't seem strange to me. One time long ago i was sam and another sam was in my party.. and he went sam/brd so he can use madrigal on himself. So if you think drk/nin with axes is bad.. i wonder you think of a drk/brd =P

I tried DRK/SAM today. It was pretty unreal compared to /NIN. After experiencing that, I dont think I will pick up /NIN in exp merits again. I still dont think it will beat /WAR for shear dmg, but the dmg possibilities of /SAM over /NIN is huge.

I'm guessing no archery merits?

Only 1, to get Sidewinder a lvl early. If I had max, definently would use /WAR + Meat.

Maybe I'm missing something, but what does the mob being weak vs pierce have to do with the fact that he did better with /nin than /war?

Nothing. You can prove it on any mob. Just that the numbers were amplified further because of that weakness. :P

And the fact that I would average 90-120 normal, 140-170 crit ranged attacks while /NIN + Minuet.

Switch to /WAR and pop Berserk + Minuet... Berserk + Hunter's Roll + Minuet + Prelude helped for the Barrages. Such a fun party :D

Recast for stun, drain, aspir, abs-tp, etc really suck ass with those new sam abilities up (yes, I realize you can cancel them but in a fast paced pt this is a huge pain in the ass and you can forget about stun acc), and on /sam you only get +5 str and very light haste. Doesn't seem worth giving up zerk/warcry/da for, or even shadows in a merit cannon.

Trolling is always relevant.

More times then not, Third eye lasted longer then shadows would. My best one was.

/WAR trumps it still for over all dmg, but SAM adds survivability as well as some DD, where /NIN only adds surivability.

Oh gawd, that was so awesome. 800 rampage followed by 1.5k sidewinder with 900 dmg. SC... Then I had to ding 60.

Just wanted to add that if u really want thfs and rngs to use /war try inviting them when they do. Id love to /war on my thf but getting a party as /nin is hard enough. The second you seem to go /war you go from 10 percent chance of getting a party as /nin to 1 percent as /war on thf.

Just switch...people are too scared to say anything anyway.

Sub job while seeking usually isn't that big of a consideration for me, especially since I'll often be /blm or /whm to warp/teleport myself when I'm off doing things while lfg. Just list your subs in your search comment, and when you get a pt invite, ask if they mind you subbing war.

How'd this end up 32 pages long I wonder...
I mean, I knew people was dumb, but c'mon.
