PS3 is hurting!

The only thing I'll miss by not paying $700 for a toy is Sony's first party development team. Not having the new ICO or God of War is going to suck. I'll harp on the company for shoddy hardware reliability and ridiculous marketing tactics but they've got one hell of an in house development team.

Oh and btw, I don't love those games for their graphics - I love them because they're fun.

Does it hurt to keep trying to defend a system that even you can admit has performed far below expectations and is becoming the walking joke of the gaming community?

Two of the three biggest UK game stores have cancelled their midnight launches because of lack of interest. There are internal memos leaking saying "We haven't hit preorder goals at 2 days to launch, sell PS3s with confidence" and the official AU launch site had under 100 people in line last night when the 360 and Wii launches both attracted over 1000 people? That UK stores are offering bundles that include a free game and a free Blu-Ray movie and they're still not meeting targets?

Too expensive, not enough to do with it, and gimped backwards compat from this point on. That doesn't add up to launch fever, especially when the EU/AU market has to pay ~750-800 US for it.

i don't understand how such topic can be such an intense battle.
to me all the new gen console looks great and to me, it all boils down to preference. i don't care what ppl think on how i spend my cash. I get what I want and what I think that will bring me what I am looking for. If my marginal benefit is around there, i will get that.
Why would 1 care so much so much until creating such intense arguement? It is great to see one defend its product but if ppl doesn't wanna accept that, screw them. Like their opinion matters. You got want you wanted so my bother right?
Look what I am trying to say is that, it is great that ppl can input useful information to the plate. But i mean, come on, this is coming to be 5 years old kids teasing each other on who has the better toy.
I don't have any new gen console as nothing interest me yet. In regards to PS3, look Playstation console to me is all about exclusive games. For now, the library doesn't look and as establish as the xbox 360. Playstation 3 will still get its games and those games maybe good or bad. Let the future decides it.

No ones arguing because the PS3 is a horrible machine made of feces and dead babies.

People are just completely disgusted by Sony's business plan with it. A lot of the people arguing against it are people who have been completely satisfied with the PS2. Sony has just been completely killing their brand this time around.

No respectable gamer would play and beat FFX-2. San Andreas in terms for you Fire licks balls. You have never played Chronotrigger or Cross? Maybe two of the best RPGs to ever be made. You sir have failed to qualify as a gamer for even thinking of beating X-2 and never playing Chronotrigger and CC.
 
Any RPG fan that wants to beat X-2 but hasn't even played Chrono Trigger yet is no RPG fan in my books. =/

hey ive beat x-2, but it was an obligatory one time through because it was an FF title, I have yet to see the secret ending im told about.
and i have played and still own trigger and cross, love em both. but cross holds a special place in my heart thanks to that little melody called "Dream of the shore- Another world" My fave video game piece ever.

edit: scratch that, i just you tubed the secret ending...glad i didnt trudge through to get that.

I don't know I used to think the PS3 was a failure but now I'm just kinda depressed and part of me feels sorry for them
