PS3 is hurting!

True quality is a personal opnion. On that note, Bajaratt defending the Wii's lauch with review scores is bullshit. I have played games that were said 10's and i hated this. Played games said to be 5's and thought it was amazing.
Then the only thing that we should be judging the quality of the games by is your opinion? Reviews were the only impartial mechanism to judge the launch games by(since we obviously have different opinion of games); sometimes reviews are wrong, but more often than not they're right.

rechargable controllers were last-gen, the rest(including wifi, but that's Wii also) are just improvements on last gen; that's not innovative, that's upgrading.

The games are a matter of opinion, and you're retarded if you think all the Wii launch games sucked. I remember almost all of the Wii launch titles getting better reviews than any of the PS3 launch titles, save resistance.

How much of the high ratings would you attribute to the glee of having the remote? Take the remote away, and you have a bunch of Hot Shots style sports games and games that are available on other consoles.

I sincerely hope you don't use composite video. If you aren't using component or better it will make a whole lot more sense as to why you accept 3rd rate graphics on games as a sacrifice to being able to wave your remote around.[/B]

You're reading too deeply, like a moron. HDMI is a visual improvement, it's ultimately an improvement over composite's predecessor, the RF switch/coax deal. Forgot what the name for it was, so I used composite.

I just find games in general fun if they're fun. I don't need razor's edge depicting graphics to enjoy what I play. Shit, most of my time now is playing an ASCII game that I posted a link to here a few weeks back and getting back in to UT2004. Which after playing HL2, Doom 3, Company of Heroes, and Oblivion, looks dated.

Actually Cubs, the Wii can do 480p. While it's not nearly as good as the 360/PS3, it technically does do HD.

QFT..

When I think HD I think 720 at least but I guess that's true.

I don't know, how was Perfect Dark Zero scoring in the 9s on multiple review sites when it was a slow, buggy, unbalanced piece of shit that nobody pays $30 for today?

Wow, take away the only different thing between the consoles and the wii games play just like the PS3/360 games? What a shock! No shit most of the ratings were about the controller, but the games on the Wii were scoring higher than their graphically better counter-parts on PS3, because of the better controls on the Wii. Yeah, it'd be awesome to have PS3 graphics with the Wiimote, but the wiimote is much more immersive. Microsoft and Sony are already at the edge of the uncanny valley, within a year they'll be knee deep in it.

Your obviously didnt read carfully. In my post, i was stating that your saying games a "OMG FUCKING AMAZING" by people who get PAID to rate games. Unless you have played the game you have no say on weather the game is good or not. I have played about 80% of the Wii titles. And about 10% are good.

Dwarf Fortress is a bad game because it renders in OpenGL to ASCII tiles and as such the graphics are ugly, confirm/deny

In most ways the Wiimote is a semi-ripoff of the EyeToy. The Wii was all about PLAYING the accual game with your body.

It renders in OpenGL to support custom tilesets and objects sets. Otherwise it looks like your standard ASCII game.

Thats how it looks for me with some custom sets.

I've played 10 launch titles and all but one was great. Elebits was the only one I didn't care for that I played, it was fun but really repetitive. Unless the Wii came out with 100 games on launch, you've got a crappy opinion in games.

...it's a lot more than an improvement. On my plasma while playing socom, I could suddenly see people in the bushes when I upgraded my wires. I could see peoples shadows popping up in the distance. Colors stand out so much brighter.

Your AV connection makes a huge difference, and sticking to composite puts you in the dark ages. Try out your games with a friends plasma using both sets and cords and watch the difference in detail and sharpness.

HDMI blows the doors off of anything out there. HDMI to composite is like saying an Accord is an improvement to the yugo because they are both cars.

It's an improvement, it's a few stages of improvement, but just an upgrade all the same.

I am not going to down your personal opinion. Most people hated Kingdom Hearts (people the age of 16-older) they see donald and goofy and say, fuck that kiddie shit i wanna kill some shit. Which launch games did you play.
