PS3 Robbery Suspect Shot to Death

No one's saying anything about him that wasn't already in news reports. You're acting like people are making things up about him or something; but apparently you think we all have to lie and think of sunshine and flowers about him just because he's dead. It was a misunderstanding and an unfortunate result, but the police did not go there just to kill him. He messed up and the police did what they were trained to do, unfortunately it led to the wrong result; but stop acting like he's some kind of hero that we're trying to slander. I'm sorry he's dead but you seriously need to get a grip.

Based on your posts, I'm even starting to doubt that you knew the guy at all, maybe you live in the city at best. I could understand you being upset of the death of someone you knew but your reactions are completely unreasonable. It's looking like you just want any excuse to act like a dick and flame people more than try to defend your friend, if you even knew him at all.

Alright I was asking nicely for people like you to just stop posting if you have nothing but bad shit to say. But this Just Pisses the shit out of me. How dare you say this? How dare you say I didnt even know him? How is asking everyone who has mean stuff to say to not post? Its already hard enough to have a good friend die, but then to see a bunch of people who dont know him calling him retarted and an idiot and shit doesnt help. Im not trying to stop people thinking what they want about him, but if its shit like that then all im asking is to just keep it to yourself instead of throwing it out here. I dont understand how asking for that is acting like a dick? Yes people are saying things about him that wasnt in the news. The news didnt call him names and shit. I dont want to see that. If anyone is acting like a dick now its you, im just asking not to here that and now your accusing of me not even being his friend?? wtf is that? thats just wrong...somebody loses a friend and you say something like that to them? god..

I don't feel the police were JUSTIFIED in their actions at all but I do believe it may have been an accident.

Nicely my ass, hoping my friends die so you can make fun of them isn't nice by any standard. I "dare" because you seem far more interested in insulting everyone who posts here than defending your friend; that's what I mean about unreasonable and it's making it harder to believe that you actually knew the guy. You have been acting like a dick, only recently have you started telling people to not post; which you'd be better served by just not reading the thread than getting people to not post in it.

It's a horrible mistake but one that I can't really blame the police for, given the situation. There's no evidence it was anything but an accident, so I don't know how you can think it "may" be an accident; no conspiracy there.

I havnt been defending my friend? what are you talking about? almost every post of mine has been defending him. I see no way how you can not see that. And Im not seeing how im the one acting like a dick and not you. Your the one whose claiming I dont even know the guy who has been my good friend since 9th grade...over 4 years ago.
I realized my defending him wasnt gonna get anywhere because none of you know him like I did, so I decided to just leave it and let people think what they want, just asked if its insulting to him then keep it to themselves. Your the one who is continuing to be a dick when I am trying to stop this and hope my good friend rest in peace.

I think it may have been an accident in the same way it may have not been an accident. Police abuse their power every hour of every day. If it wasn't an accident which IS A POSSIBILITY whether you can accept it or not, then it wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Some police abuse their power occasionally, I'll grant that. I'm not granting that every cop ever is corrupt and that they are constantly abusing their power . Most of these abuses aren't even big offenses, like speeding without getting a ticket. The only way it wouldn't be an accident is if the police went there with the intention of killing the guy, which there is no evidence at all to support such an idea.

Swearing at everyone isn't a defense, saying that everyone is wrong without any kind of proof isn't a defense. If the news was wrong they would have issued a correction, since no correction has been made, it's hard to believe they're wrong. You've said that you know the guy and so everyone else must be wrong, but unless you are with him every hour of the day, you don't know everything about someone. You haven't said a word of actual defense, just that everyone is wrong and that we need to listen to you without any kind of proof and just ignore how you're insulting everyone.

The only way I'm being a dick is that I'm disagreeing with you and your methods. I haven't said a damn thing about that kid, I've only talked about you. Your words come off more as an immature kid who just wants to fight more than a grieving friend; maybe that's how you grieve, I don't know, it makes it that much harder to believe anything you say. You are the one who started this, by coming into the thread flaming away

By the way:
oh and btw I hope all your really close friend die so I can talk shit abou them and how fucking horrible they are.
That's a dick move right there. Stop acting so immature and grow up already. I'm sorry your friend died, but you're going about this the completely wrong way.

I didn't mean ALL police abuse their power. I don't think I'd go so far to even say most, however I wouldn't hesitate to say most are assholes.

Oh man im so sorry for getting upset when people are saying abuncha nasty stuff about my deceased friend. God whats wrong with me? I guess I should just happily play along about how bad my friend was right?
And actually the first paper sent out about this for the News and Observer did have to be corrected and did have to apologize for what it sent out first.
I said that one quote because maybe it would make people see how its hurting me. If they could put their feet in my shoes for a minute then maybe they'd realize what they are doing is cruel. Yes it came out harsh, and yes it was a dick thing to say to me. But at the same time, all these people knowing this guy was my friend are just spitting out insults left and right about him. Obviously its gonna upset me. It may have been the wrong thing to say, but when im upset already, and then see what some of these people are saying is just gonna make it worse.
The person I really much sweared at was Elle just because I totally disagree with how she sees things. And that was mostly right after all this happened and around the day of his funeral which I went to and spoke at and had over 2000 people there. I apologize for the things I have said to her. She has not posted here anymore about her views on my friend and I respect that about her.
But fine, call me a dick and say I wasnt his friend. I dont know you in RL so Im just gonna drop it. Im not posting here anymore, let this thread fade away and I'll leave my grieving to RL with others close with him instead of letting it slip away from me online.
Oh and actually I'm not inmature in the least, and havnt been for years. When people are very upset and at a loss, they can say the wrong things by accident and later regret it....no matter how old they are or how mature they are.

But I don't know of a single one that would willingly kill a potentially innocent person.

And Chris, I agree with Baja you're going about things the wrong way. And your testimony isn't even valid since you're biased about the situation, as are the people who really *were* there. Because they knew the kid and were probably accomplices, they aren't 100% gonna tell you the truth about the events that went on, so unless you have impartial video evidence that he didn't actually try to attack the police, I tend to believe the police report and news stories of interviewed officers.

Because, after all, you have personal experience with most of the police.

Because, after all, no one should have an opinion on anything except what you think is right. =)

I've done enough research to understand the FACT that power corrupts. It's an evil drug and only so many people can overcome it and those are the people we need in a position of power. I've also been around a great number of police and seen a great number of police on the news as well and many other places just as anyone else has and therefore it has had enough of an effect on me to where I feel I have an opinion based on those experiences and I have come to the conclusion that most police are assholes.

Oh snap!

The fact of the matter is that you know very few police, have had very few dealings with police, and as a general rule are both exposed primarily to negative imagery involving them and predisposed to believe the worst.

In short, you're the fundamental equivalent of a racist.

I'm gonna take your precise words here, and do a simple single word replacement. "I've also been around a great number of negroes and seen a great number of negroes on the news as well and many other places just as anyone else has and therefore it has had enough of an effect on me to where I feel I have an opinion based on those experiences and I have come to the conclusion that most negroes are assholes."

See what I did there? Stunning, idn't it? You could pretty much take any cultural denomination you prefer and stick them in there (I chose one with a certain connotative weight, of course) and suddenly it's a lot less socially acceptable. On a subjective level it may be no less accurate, mind you, but that's irrelevant in the face of the simple fact that your personal experience is merely an extremely small part of the wider societal experience.

Officer is charged with murder....he shot Peyton 3 times from outside when he was inside because he 'thought' he heard gunfire when it really was obviously the guy right next to him banging the door with his bat...Peyton was doing nothing wrong. Opened the door and killed the door because the dog jumped at them.
