PS3 Robbery Suspect Shot to Death

Now, that the full story comes out, I feel awful.

What I thought was just another tragic accident was really just a stupid cop.

I'm very sorry for your friends death and any comments you consider offensive.

There hasn't been a conviction...

We'll have to see how that trial turns out. From that news source, sounds like the guy jumped the gun, forgive the pun. Just shooting randomly through a door isn't cool unless you had a reason - although if he honestly thought he heard gunfire I can kind of sympathize... not that it makes it right.

But we'll have to see, we've yet to hear his side of the story.

Officer is charged with murder....he shot Peyton 3 times from outside when he was inside because he 'thought' he heard gunfire when it really was obviously the guy right next to him banging the door with his bat...Peyton was doing nothing wrong. Opened the door and killed the door because the dog jumped at them.
So you proved the cop fucked up(more so than thought, but was never in dispute), but you've also showed that you're wrong about the police shooting him with his dog and your friend doing nothing wrong in the first place. So basically, it's the conclusion from a while ago; mistakes on both sides with a horrible result.

One of the suspects in the robbery of the game console had been pictured with what appeared to be assault weapons, leading authorities to consider the Dec. 1 arrest effort "high risk."

Also charged with felony robbery and assault charges

"The original crime was a violent offense," he said Monday. "We had information from a web site that there were weapons inside the residence. Mr. Strickland was involved in a series of violent assaults. And Mr. Riley was known to always carry a pistol."

He put him self in a bad situation. He did do something wrong, and was severely punished for it.

Yes you're right. My side of the story was wrong too. I admit that completly. I more posted the story for people who kept calling him stupid and insulting him and such.

And I still maintain that. I don't think the guy deserved to die, but I still think his actions were stupid.

I think Elle was the only one saying he should have died. Most of us are saying that while he wasnt at fault, his pattern of actions and his actions at the time brought it down on him.

im not sure just standing there is a reason to be shot. I dont see that a reason to be called stupid and an excuse to why he got shot. Yes what he did for the cops to come in the first place was stupid. But why he was killed, you cant call him stupid. The cop was stupid for thinking a bat on the door sounded like gunshots when all the other cops cleary new it was the bat. He did nothing to be shot for. Yes he did something for the cops to come and arrest him, but not get shot 3 times. There is no reason to call him stupid for standing in a room...

Again. I tried to say I wasn't linking him getting shot and him being stupid. He was stupid because he stole PS3s. He was stupid because he posted pictures of himself with weapons on the internet(from what I gathered). The things he did that led to the police getting involved in the first place were stupid.

The actual shooting seems like it most likely was the cop's fault and if so he should be punished for it.

And the moral of the story is...

You reap what you sow. I will save my pity for those who are truly innocent of their circumstances.

No I think the reason I am veiw him as stupid is that he assaulted another person and mugged them. I find it hard to muster pitty for someone who atacked another human being to steal shit for him and then has karma come bite him in the ass.

yeah okay if someone came and stole something from him. Stealing something and actually dying are quite different.

Oh snap!

The fact of the matter is that you know very few police, have had very few dealings with police, and as a general rule are both exposed primarily to negative imagery involving them and predisposed to believe the worst.

I see you've read my autobiography since you know every FACT about me. Good job.

Something about me being a racist for knowing how power works

Actually, you could replace "police" with ANY plural noun and it would make since. You're the only person I've ever known to not understand how power works. It goes to peoples' heads. It can corrupt even the most pure of people. Last time I checked, having a skin color can't do that. So it doesn't relate to racism in any way. I believe the word you were looking for is "prejudice" which is much different from racism and I still feel I'm not qualified to fall under that category of prejudice.

"I've also been around a great number of cheetos and seen a great number of cheetos on the news as well and many other places just as anyone else has and therefore it has had enough of an effect on me to where I feel I have an opinion based on those experiences and I have come to the conclusion that most cheetos are assholes."

Thats because you have a bias. You said yourself it was someone that one of us knew, you would be right there to call him stupid and such. Because you know him, you see past all his faults, and just see how bad the shooting was.

Yeah, it really sucks he got shot. To people that don't know him though, he was stupid for stealing/mugging someone. Does that make it right he got shot? No, and no one is saying that. Just that his actions were dumb.

No its not simply stealing, stealing is me picking your pocket, or sneaking in your house and ganking your PC.

He MUGGED another guy. That is assault and battery, his ass should have at the very least gone to jail where he would no doubt be a dude name Bubas bitch. We aint talking the good kinda bitch here, a 20(?) year old pretty boy like him? Raped in every orrifice that he has.

Do I think he should of died for it? No, BUT he DID beat another guy up with some blunt object and ran off with a PS3. Does anyone seem to care about the guy who was minding his own bussiness pleased as can be because all of his waiting and saving of money finaly payed off and he got a PS3 no doubt making his entire holiday season, until some fuckwad come beats him over the head with a baseball bat and runs off with it? For a college student 900 bucks is a shit ton of money.

Karma is a bitch. When you do bad things sometimes those bad things come and bite you so hard in the ass... As I said, do I think he should have died? No I don't I am not a complete monster, however I don't feel any pitty or remorse.

Hmmm? So, all the charges against the police officer who shot the kid were dropped?

Isn't that sort of.. weird? I don't know, I know nothing about U.S. law.
What happened to the kid they beat and stole the PS3s from?

actually I was saying that if he really did rob and assault than he should have, which was what really pissed bamdam off. That I'd be so "heartless" as to want all criminals of even stealing only a system to be shot and killed. Perhaps even tortured (but that's only to detur(sp?) some from doing such actions in the future). I'm more of the kind that "the punishment should fit the crime and THEN some" kinda person. Steal? Hands cut off. rape? Castrated. Murder? Tortured and then killed yourself (either by a family or friend member's hands or someone elses, choice of family/friends I guess). But, really, I prefer just giving all such criminals that torture Griffith went through in Bersker (metal mask welded to head, tongue cut out, castrated, ligaments in wrists and ankles cut so no longer could use hands or feet, barely enough food or water to live for 3 years, each day being poked through the body with long thin metal rods, purposely avoiding vitals and then healing enough at the end of the day to have the torture continue the next). That kinda torture sure would detur (again, sp?) most people (granted some insane people would prolly still do it, but to counter insanity.. well.. not sure how it'd work out yet but, if signs show, make the people see a therapist before anything happens, hopefully) from doing such evil things. Evil to counter evil, good fails in our world.
