None of the current gen consoles look nice other than the Wii imo. Shame that it's a piece of crap.

I agree with you man. None of the consoles this gen look great. Wii is a better looking design then the other 2 for me just because its simple. And the Wii is crap.^^

Always did like you.

Why do you guys care about what the console looks like? Isn't it all about what's in it that matters? It's not like you're going to sport it out at a club and some chick is going to be like "omfg ew" and walk away.

It's going to be in my house I want it to look nice.

I think we shouldn't bother speculating for another 3-4 years if that.

That was kinda gay.

360 and ps3 both are kinda meh because they are odd shapes, making them difficult to fit into a lot of spaces, where most components are designed to specific size and shape styles to allow stacking. The Wii, while nicely mediocre, has a decent simplistic design that makes it easier to blend in. If only it wasn't neon white, I'd be happy with the looks of it.

When will companies learn that gloss black and matte black are the only two colors they're allowed to use for base designs. Sure if more entertainment items such as tvs, blu ray players, and recievers/audio equipment, came in multiple colors, you're allowed give it a bit of variety. Don't make my nice clean all black entertainment center look like shit with your white console. Not to mention the buttons and control sticks stain from even the most pale of skin after moderate use.

Simply put, form follows function. They need to stop reversing the two. Maybe then the 360 and PS3 wouldn't get so darned hot, or the Wii wouldn't be superwhite. It's a damned entertainment component, it doesn't need to be aerodynamic enough to take off if its fan spools up too fast. I guess the important thing to remember is that at least the consoles aren't that crappy standard issue old computer beige/grey plastic anymore.

I'm with Taur on this one. Personally, if my PS1/2/3 looked like any other piece of AV equipment, I'd probably be happier. And they'd probably run cooler, aye.

But, sadly, the average consumer is easily blinded by things like exotic curves, shiny panels, and glowy lights.

Sony do have Silver/White PS2/PS3/PS3 Slims. Just that everything is JP Onry, only Glossly black or black are released all over the world except in JP where they have multi-color, last time PS3 ever had other color then black was Konami $600 Steel Hagane color limited edition 40GB PS3.

Example of different JP PS3 color is..

Ceramic White
