Pulled over driving 94 in a 55

Ive never been able to figure out, why do you Americans go to court just for a speeding ticket?

It's just a bunch of BS to get it reduced. Our courts are pretty damn full and busy due to traffic violations more than anything else.

People going to traffic court>>>> criminal court here.

hehe if you all like to drive fast and NOT get caught, then you better live where i live. I drive and average of 120KM on any roads and police [Where?], My car is a sentra 1.5cc max speed is um... 180km [/laugh]

I drive like wind, changing gears at around 5~6k, pretty fast for a slow ass car lol, on the highway there are no traffics whetsoever so you can see integra's, lexus and bmw's passing me at 180km (they can go over 240km). I use km cause that's the standard meter we use here.

Yeah, well, i drive fast but i wear my seatbealt everytime, accident 2 times now, carelessness, well front car has blown brake lights anyways but i hit back considered i am wrong anyways XD

And i wanna ask NA residents, if you seen the movie "Fast and Furious", all those modified cars, do the police catch them IF they see it being parked in town or only when you drive them? Just wondering?

In my experience a cop won't do anything about any violations until the driver is behind the wheel and the car is turned on. Even if you're intoxicated in the drivers seat, whether intending to drive or not, you can get a drunk driving ticket. Another fun little fact is that if a car has illegal equipment, and a cop happens to notice, they force you to pay for a flatbed trailer to come and tow it to private property or an impound lot and give a written warning that revokes the registration if the illegal equipment isn't replaced within a certain time period. I still plan to mod any nice car I get.

Speeding tickets don't happen on highways in Rhode Island.

90% of the highways don't have breakdown lanes (or shoulders if you don't speak Rhode Island language), and it's a STUPID idea to block a lane of traffic in the state with the 2nd highest population per square mile and roads that were designed in the 1700s.

Consequentially, we also have the 4th highest insurance rates in the country. $2600/year for only liability and comprehensive blows.

For most traffic violations, the cop would have to come to court to prove that you actually did violate the law. This is obviously not worth the fine, as the cops still get paid while in court.

Just an elaboration.

They wanted another 2,400/year for collision. My car is only worth $10,000 <(Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass)>.
