Question to other Dynamis LS's

did I ever say everyone was starting at 0 and getting X tp? my point was that dmg output by any dd job in dynamis is about the same, because you don't get to ws every mob (speaking as a single person, no shit there will always be someone without enough tp, I never said against that). This was my point that you can't compare merit set up to dynamis set up. Don't you see how you twist other people's words and take a meaning out of them that's not there?

Oh, and thanks I'm well aware of what gaussian distributions are. Good job on using wiki to find out a fancy name for a bell curve lol. No one thinks you are smart because you know a couple of fancy words. It also doesn't have application here. Sure you can use bell curve to approximate the probabilities of tp and such, but it has nothing to do with my discussion. You fail at using big words.

Metachronism, do you realize that there are more than rng, mnk, nin and smn mobs in dynamis, because I'm not sure you do. Those are the ONLY mobs that pose any kind of problem with their 2 hours, and rng only hurts one person; so only on rng mobs does utsusemi give you any kind of advantage. Now we're down to a single job that utsusemi gives you a benefit for, and that's almost no benefit.

All of your posts are full of assumptions. First, that they'll instantly and always pull hate; then that they won't have any method of survival, then that the mob will 2hr on them, now that the mob is guaranteed to be a rng, mnk, nin or smn so that their 2 hour will kill the player. I'll go ahead and say that it's possible that someone could ws at the start, pull hate, the mob 2hr's and maybe it'll be one of those 4 jobs; but acting like that's how every mob is going to work is beyond ludicrous.

Obviously the people's timers aren't going to be up at all times, but the same goes for utsusemi. You're still assuming that everyone will wait to weapon skill on a fresh mob, when the vast majority of weapon skills are done while the mob has been hit a few times. Since the non-cannon jobs will only pull hate when they weapon skill at the beginning of a new mob(your words), and that it doesn't happen all the time, then they will have more than enough time to let their abilities/spells cool down. AoE will still kill people with shadows, might want to learn the mechanics before you run your mouth about it.

Now, you're looking at maybe 1% of the entire time that you're in dynamis that the non-cannon jobs are at a disadvantage over the cannon jobs, and you're still saying the non-cannon jobs are no where near as good as the cannon jobs. That's elitism right there.

Then what is the "meaning" you intended to convey? Because you're right, there doesn't seem to be any meaning in what you said, if you don't take into consideration the TP spread that is obviously going to occur. What's the point of talking about 1 person? What you tried to do was to minimize my argument by saying that one person won't have tp on every mob, which, doesn't support anything you wanted to say.

The assumption that the damage "isn't that different" is if you *aren't* zerging (i.e. keeping everyone's hate below the "tank"). The whole point is that with utsusemi you don't have to limit yourself to that constraint so that you *can*. What's so hard to see in that...?

Why do you think merit and dynamis are different for the damage argument? Sure, you have more people. Guess what, the mob attack intervals are still the same. The dynamis mobs are about VT in their defense ratings too. If you're continuously fighting (which you do in both cases), the hate scenarios become asymptotically the same.

I'm sorry you had to go to a wiki to find out what a gaussian distribution is. It's pretty sad to think that you think it's a "fancy word" or a "big word"...

I am getting a little tired of this though lol

Hello AOE? Hello normal melee attacks? And when did it suddenly become an issue of mere survival from 2hrs? Or are you conceding and weakening your argument? Ustusemi lets you take hate *in general*. 2hrs is just the most obvious of the consequences of taking hate.

All of your posts are full of assumptions. First, that they'll instantly and always pull hate; then that they won't have any method of survival, then that the mob will 2hr on them, now that the mob is guaranteed to be a rng, mnk, nin or smn so that their 2 hour will kill the player. Yes, because the whole point is the contrast between the tank/dd model and the /nin zerg model. Of course the assumption is that you pull hate in a /nin zerg model. Or, are you going to argue that the tank/dd model where the dd holds back is more efficient than a distributed utsusemi method? That is *exactly* why I made the analogy to merits.

Obviously the people's timers aren't going to be up at all times, but the same goes for utsusemi. You're still assuming that everyone will wait to weapon skill on a fresh mob, when the vast majority of weapon skills are done while the mob has been hit a few times. AoE will still kill people with shadows, btw, might want to learn the mechanics before you run your mouth about it.

Very good. That's why having a large ratio of utsusemi casters lets you distribute the hits to the level where the recast is irrelevant. You will also be comfortable in using WS whenever, because the more utsusemi casters you have, the more confident you can be that there will be another person with TP and utsusemi who can WS right after you to get the mob off you before your shadows are gone.

Now, you're looking at maybe 1% of the entire time that you're in dynamis that the non-cannon jobs are at a disadvantage over the cannon jobs, and you're still saying the non-cannon jobs are no where near as good as the cannon jobs. That's elitism right there.

Are you going to argue mobs melee 1% of the time? I hope not.

I'm not making qualitative arguments about which jobs are better than others. That should be what each person decides about what he enjoys about any given job.

But if you are going to pretend that the disproportionate advantage from utsusemi (in conjunction with the high damage potential jobs) doesn't exist, you are just being ignorant of the state of the game.

Congrats on twisting what another person says into bullshit that was never even implied while ignoring all logic; if you had thrown in unnecessarily big words, you would have been par for the course of your posts. It's not even fun to make you look like an idiot anymore, it's just sad.

it's funny how meta is the only person who thinks he's smart lol

EDIT: Meta, I said exactly what I meant. If you make an even distribution of jobs and you are worried about your DRG dieing, it's only your DRG's TP you have to worry at start, that's why your wiki researched "Gaussian distribution" has no place here. Congratulations on having the knowledge on statistics equivalent to that of someone in high school.
