Quetzalcoatl Members CARS!

Okay, finally got pics of our actual motorcycle. These were taken on the 4th of July, 2005, hence the US flag on the bike. These are also before Steve put his highway bars on.

This is what happens when you get on ice at every sideshow.

Btw, the car next to Steve's bike in that garage is his oldest brother Dave's car. Just thought y'all might like to drool over this beauty. Dave totally restored this car himself. When he got it, it was just the shell of the body.

I think thats dumb to spend so much $ on a car that costs so little.

it was a "hobby" "back then," which of course i "sorta" regret doing, but it was something i've always wanted to do... growing up around the ppl that i did in my "younger life." at least i could say that... what i wanted to do... i actually completed in doing. an accomplished goal.

so stfu... and don't hate. that's why i drive a BMW now and the Civic just sits there, day in, and day out.

I found a 240SX in Skokie which is like an hour away from me. I called the dealership to see if it was still there but after he called me back someone just drove away with it..

that is very nice....

I wish Lol, I'll be driving it the most I reckon though. Hopefully get my drivers with it.. Can't really get my drivers for awhile. Cause my parents already pay for 5 peoples insurance, and what its like where I live and to be a guy means my insurance is huge.. I'm stuck with my learners for atleast a year when my sister moves her ugly ass out!

My dad is almost finished restoring a 67 Mustang Convertible... Ill have to post pictures when I can. Damn I hope I get to drive it....

That's not hate, it's just common sense. I understand the need to "personalize" I was just never the person to through good $ after bad.
Typically the more you spend when you buy a car the less you do on it down the line. Unless you get a ferrari, but then nobody who owns one of those is here. :)

When you say its "dumb", you're questioning the person's intelligence in the choices he/she made.. and that sounds like hate to me. Who are you to say the it's dumb anyways? It's like saying that people who started modifying their 67 mustangs and camaros back in the day made dumb choices as well.

In any hobby/interest where in someone is hardcore in the scene, people will spend $$$ to buy the best stuff they can. Like U7, I too was in the import/racing scene and I enjoyed every minute of it, regardless of how much money I spent. We are concidered the next generation of hotrodders.. and you never know, 20-30 years down the road... his car may start to appreciate.

P.S.
This isn't a flameboard topic either so what's the purpose of your comment? We're just showin our rides.. let's see you go to a car show, walk up to someone and say.. "yo dude, I think that's dumb you spent so much money on a car that costs so little." Let's see if they share the same thoughts as your "common" sense.

OMG so awesome!!!! I do believe you nipped it in the bud right there Jaz. Hobbies = priceless.

PS. Dave just sold that Nova I have the pic of on the page before for 15k. Not a bad investment at all on his (Dave's) part^^. Now he's gonna buy another car and do it all over again. To reiterate, hobbies = priceless. They are just something to tool around with in your spare time no matter if it's on a model scale or the rl thing.

I dont understand why you all seem so defensive on the subject, I have an opinion and obviously you have one too. I wasn't questioning your preference just stating my own as a contrast. Jeez :?

Hasn't your Mother ever taught you that if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all?

If she hasn't, then mebbe try to heed the above advice at this time  .

That would be ugly.

Punk's about ta get beat! Punk's about ta get beat down!

...So many sisters and brothers by my side
...U-N-I-T-Y, still we ride with pride.

It's an abstract Monday morning.
I think the point, Nitram, was that Jazper and others weren't being defensive, but rather just saying that your shitty comments aren't necessary at all.

There's a big difference between, "I don't like rice" (obviously subjective, but not intrusive), and "I think thats dumb to spend so much $ on a car that costs so little." (still subjective, but you're being a prick)...

Basically, you're saying that the people that spend money on something they enjoy are in fact dumb. That's what you're saying, and that's why people defend their positions.

Having a passion for something, for anything is a gift. I can't think of any reason why someone would take that gift, be it fixing up cars or any other hobby, and not defend it after being called dumb.
