To late now but I'll throw this out there.
I talked to a Tech/service Support for a while a few days ago, and I asked how the retrival of items worked after your accoutn has been comprimised.
SE doesn't "retrive" items, thats a misrepresention of how they do it. First thing you do after you account has been hacked is report it immediatly, which sounds like you dind't. Once you varify you account by givingg them your name and regestration codes they freeze the account and "reset" it almost.
They take a point in time before the hacking and restore your character to that state. So if your hacked and then (for some reason) You level 5 levels after they restore your account you won't have those 5 levels.
Thats what the service rep told me, so I don't see why it wouln't be true.
I'm sorry you quit and I'm sorry you felt like there was nothing you could do, but you could have tried, wouldn't have hurt anything.
