Man I wish they would have used the IGE referal link I had up (PM me if you plan to buy 1,000M from IGE, I'll send you the link), with that cash I could have paid for a new template today.

I also think that the thread title should be "gilbuyer bought out all IGE gil".

THey're out of everything now! haha man, someone must've gone on a gil craze. Let's hope it's some rich individual who buys the gil to keep it out of the hands of those who would use it :-p OR, maybe they'll be like Robin Hood. Yeah, let's hope for that.
 
that or maybe se is finally making a stand and banning some gill sellers? So there supply can't happen and no one can buy gil. Maybe this is the end of gill selling :evilsmile:
 
I'm assuming that the worst it yet to come. If they are sold out, they can't make money. So to make money, they need more sellers.

That's depressing.

I really wonder if that is what it is. I mean what are the odds of someone buying all of Quetz's gil. We had a previous thread somewhere where it was established that IGE had about what 560M on hand.

I suppose that's not all that much if someone wants to buy multiple 99,999,999 items.

SE won't ever ban gil sellers. It keeps far too many people playing. I bet this server would lose about 1/5 of its players if Gilbuying/Gilselling were punished. Course what I don't understand... wouldn't that bring more legit players back to the game?

edit:: and actually, IGE probably has plenty of gil... This may be a move to get prices back up.

Some people have more real life cash than is healthy....

From what I heard (and this isn't necessarily true), S-E axed a BUNCH of accounts that exploited the bug that they just fixed. A lot of gilselling sites have suddenly for no explicable reason run out of most of their gil. Seems like a logical explanation.

This means that in about a month... when all that gil comes flooding back... we have more inflation? Cause we all know FFXI doesn't understand permaban
 
I checked out other servers on IGE, and they seem to still have gil, so I dunno about the ban hypothesis.
