No it's true, ALL WHM pre-41 level and leave or stay for a max of 16 minutes, 33 seconds in a party......


Hell when I was leveling my THF 2 weeks ago our party got to camp and got to rocking....chain 1, chain 2, chain 3...."Sorry guys I gotta go" says the WHM...


Fuck that guy.


Oh and to whomever asked I play RNG and THF.....I bring in the xp and am always willing to stay 1 to 2k tnl for another person. Ranger has NO tough times finding partys so I know the value of being wanted but I do not take advantage of that and like to make sure my DRKs, SAMs, and any other melee get at least 1 level or a good chunk of xp before we call it a night. I have compassion for them sitting lfg in Jeuno for a week straight and want to make sure I make it worth their while...

I promise as well from my past history as a puller I have never went long at all without an invite on either job.

I think you WHM pre-41 could learn a lot from that quote and stop being such little bitches all the time and think about how it is on the other side of the fence kthnx. Actually my WHM is at level 10, maybe I will dust it off one day and shock the fuck out of melee when I STAY for their level. :D
 
Sorry Vang. I love ya but you're wrong. It's definitely not ALL Whm's pre-41. On the flipside though, it is an aweful lot.

You seem way too bright a guy to say this and mean it. So I have to conclude that you are either grumpy, trolling, or both.

The rest of the post is true though.
 
Vang, while I am not a fan of the generalization of pre-41 WHM, I know exactly what you are talking about in most cases.

I introduced my friend to this game, and he decided to go WHM. Now he used to get invited so fast, my head would spin. He figured it was the norm. A few weeks later, he goes to level some melee jobs and gets jack for invites when he Valkurm as a WAR/MNK. He was like "omgwtf no invites" after freakin 10 minutes. I myself have played through the dunes as WHM, SMN, WAR, PLD, and THF. And I've encountered the whole "Do you have a full party?" question from the WHM's I have invited at least 1 out of 3 mages.

"No, that party is just starting out."

"Oh well I'm gonna sit here and lfg...Let me know if you fill the party"

I'll admit one or two times I was in a bad mood and DID fill the party. To 6 people, and sent them WHM a tell saying Ok (| Our party's full |). "Oh ok invite me." I can't it's full, dick. ^^

It's definately true that MOST(Key word, most before you jump on my back about it) WHM at the lower and mid range levels take invites for granted, and I know for a FACT so many think they can just say "Ok screw this sucky party" and drop their party to get a hopefully better one. Even when the party is not that bad.

:? the irony is WHM's won't join if you don't have 5 members, and people won't join if you don't have a WHM.... Hmmm... :roll:
 
Please don't take me wrong i just didn't drop the party because "they sucked" They were actually an awesome party but got to over excited for the exp.

The rdm just would not take my advice at back-up healing, i wouldn't have even minded if he still melee as long as he was throwing cure when needed. It was getting late and i needed to log anyways. I do not take invites lightly either and do my best in every party i'm in.

I have 100% of my spells at this point and plenty of +mind equip.
With food my mp was 303 and don't remember the exact mnd but it was + 11 which i think was good being level 21.

And even with all the mp if the worm used gasrtic bomb (which was quiet often and the links) i could go 3 fights before rest. Hmm maybe it was just me and don't like seeing yellow HP levels..... :roll:
 
Oddly :shock: I encountered the "How many people/what job you have" question more often from other jobs, but I guess that makes sense since WHM is one job and there are 14 others. :roll:

What most of you said is true. WHMs are the spoiled kids of Vanadiel. :P But that is not good enough of a reason to hate all of them. Being spoiled is different than being assholes (if you've read enough posts here you'd know that Vang falls in the latter category).
 
Vang, an asshole? Nah... I've seen true assholes. A PLD formerly on my LS who also had a character on Phoenix was an asshole. He kept rambling about how cool he was, how he was better than everyone else on the LS, how he'd be ripping a new one to the other Tarutaru PLD by beating him to L75... Guess what? He was a L60+ WHM on the other server. He's doing a great job, but from what I've heard from my LS leader, he has annoyed the hell out of a lot of people who partied with him with his condescending asshole attitude in-game.

Nah, I like getting into arguments with Vang, because, well... this *IS* a flameboard, and if I don't like his position, the tone of his replies, or even his screen name (not the case, just saying), then I can vent out all I want. And he can vent back for not liking me. He has that "do it or die" attitude that has burned me twice during my newbie days, so yah, he's a prime target for me. From what I'm hearing, he's a good guy in game, who'll keep his flames for this board, with all the colorfulness you can now expect from him.

So let the flames burn, baby!
 
Oy I have the same problems with white mages. I have a level 27 WHM myself and have played 44 levels of SMN (which is also like a white mage most of the time...).

Not all WHMs are shit pre 41, just a huge freakin chunk of them. I believe I made a post about this before but here I go again. I've been in PTs as a SMN and had to ask the WHM to start healing and stop casting Banish when I was my SMN, yet nobody would kick them. I've had WHMs freak out at melee members in the party for pulling an IT mob (they had full mp at the time) and refuse to heal them so I had to. I've seen them wear fishing gear and pumpkin helmets in Kaz and when I'm setting up PTs the only class I've ever had ask me if the PT is full before they join is WHM.

They are the only class that can get away with this kind of stuff. WHM/WARs get invites but SMN/WHM and DRK/WAR (pre 41 mind you so no /theif) are left looking for hours at a time for a pt. I've seen it kinda start to happen with RDM's after level 41 too. Like the RDM/MNK taru in Full RSE that got invited to one of my parties.

Certain classes get spoiled at certain times in their career and a lot of them take advantage of it, while others bust their asses getting good gear and up to date spells only to lfg for 4 hours at a time...if not more.

Not a bash on all the people who play needed classes out there, some of you are great. I'm just saying it's a hella lot easier to get away with some crap that other classes/people would be crucified for. Heck I even know it because I play a lil baby WHM in Kaz right now, I could run in and use a dagger if my little heart desired, on gobbos and my pt wouldn't say boo. Just the way it goes I suppose. :D
 
In the case of Vangs arguement... WHM pre 30 as their main job do free ride a bit (As do most "Newbies")... Some vary in the lvl they free ride... I am not going to argue with the statement that MOST mages only get to a "high" lvl because of their job, some of us do work for what we got and put the time in. Others... Yea there are the Taylorfws out there, but there are also the Direwolfs (I aint arogant I know my own worth ^^) out there and even a few Tiyas (I am humbled every time I see her gear)

I will admit it I did not get my shit together until I got through Kazham at 32-33. I was never "Gimped" I had all my spells but I was not ontop of my game. Took my dear sweet time in lvling up but I did pull my act together I think I started to become a good WHM in the late 30s, Excelent in the early 50s. I am still not "Uber" but I do what I can with the gear I hae and let skill ride me the rest of the way.

Also Vang a question... why 41? Why not 40, an even number...

Hate to burst your bubble, but you dont' need WHMs, you can get by with RDMs and SMNs. Also I think you're just being a dick (suprise supirse), a few bad experiecnes, pull the bug out yo' ass and try to have fun.

Eagli I think im gonna "Keep it real" the low level whm way and see how far I can go with just cure 1 and maybe protect.....

Oh man we gotta get a bet going on how far I can level with some stipulations as a whm...I know a few of you are down to gamble, Kind of sucks because my BLM is at 18 so my WHM will have a leveled sub for a good while.....taking away the realness of being a whm that level.

Ill put a wager down of a good chunk of change that I can take WHM to 30 with just a body piece (level 2 or 3 of course) and a justice badge....any takers? ^^

I have a better wager, I can point to a lvl 55 WHM that has basicaly that on... You cheater! You saw him, you know I am not kidding when I say he is wearing STARTING GEAR!!!

Before you talk shit about someone why don't you see what they r bring to the table first, who fuckin knows maybe your not the only none noob in the game. Maybe you just think you know it all.
